while out shopping with my 8 month old we walked passed a Greggs bakers and noticed a woman come out with some pasty's. she took a bite out of one and then shoved the corner of the pasty into her child's mouth, ok not so bad but this child looked no older than my little boy, would estimated 6-9mth max. why oh why would you give a Greggs pasty to a baby???
I don't care generally how other people feed their babys, bf, ff, baby led weaning, organic, homemade or pouches/jars, but really GREGGS!
aibu thinking this is wrong for a child so young?

"Pom bear, anyone?"

Atbeckandcall · 14/04/2014 17:52

Was just about to mention the cockage roll bloke.

Maybe if it had been bought from an artisan bakery one would have been a little less offended?

Weaning food up north :)

WireCat · 14/04/2014 17:55

I know right. She could have at least given him a pasty from the Cornish Pasty Co. Shock

We have 3 Greggs on our local high street. [proud]

I've given a bit of a cheese and onion pasty to my DS2 at about 9 months old, he lived!

He's BLW and practically lives off meat/fish strips, veg and fruit the rest of the time so why not?

squoosh · 14/04/2014 17:56

My pasty shagging prince.

WestieMamma · 14/04/2014 17:56

Are babies not allowed pastry then? Or is it when it's a pasty? Or is it just Greggs? Would a nice organic Waitrose pasty be ok?

Cernabbas · 14/04/2014 17:56

Hmmm... username, use of "@" and distain of child being fed Gregg's makes me suspect OP is a "nethun"

My even more local Greggs appeared on the Greggs show on sky 1 schrosaw [beat that]

4am though. Hardcore!

ShatnersBassoon · 14/04/2014 17:58

What?! I'm perfectly horrified.

Why don't parents ever 'shove' bananas or carrots into their children's mouths, only cheap food we can snigger at?

DH said he'd love to have a steak bake shoved into his mouth.

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 14/04/2014 17:58

It is Usual, it's right in the middle of all the pubs and clubs, the line after closing is crazy and they have big scary dudes for security! :o

WireCat · 14/04/2014 17:58

John Lewis give you vouchers if your waters go in one of their establishments.

I wonder what Greggs would give you?!
