Try primark for cheap hair accessories that look pretty, or Claire's accessories. Did you find a dress?

YouTube have so many make up tutorials, maybe practise a few times at home til you have perfected it and do your own make up on the day. Boots usually do three for two's on make up products. Or if you collect boots points, use them to buy it

Do you have any friends/family members who can do your hair instead of giving a wedding present? If not, look at YouTube again, and practise on yourself.

I'm no expert on matters sartorial (generally look like I got dressed during a power cut) but I'd keep the make up simple and, as Cleorapter suggested, have a practice via YouTube first. Decent foundation, simple eyes and lips should be all you need.

H and M does some lovely hair accessories! What is your hair like OP? I have thoughts on long hair but no good if you rock a short bob, obviously!

I did find a possible dress. The one from H&M :) Im going to order it, then try & hope it it looks good! If not, will justreturn it.
Not anything big left on liat, have an idea for most things now. Any other suggestions would be great though.

My hair is Zoe Deschanel style, though tiny bit longer.

Your hair sounds lovely :) how about loose, romantic curls with a diamante hairband? Be pretty easy to do and will look stunning.

I love the H&M one and Cleo's suggestions for your hair sound great too.

Have just been discussing with dp & we are wondering about the after party type thing we have at Legion. Wonder idf we can expand on what that is( a celebration with friends) and do away with the wedding concept, IYSWIM?

So we dint need a dj/ band/ ipod & to go intothe evening. Just invite them to share an afternoon with us at the legion. So still cheap drink, bit of food, outddor space etc. Just without the whole evening dancing etc etc.

Just seems we are having the whole expected wedding package type thing, without peopleactually being at the wedding.
And the whole point was that we just wanted to spend time and celebrate with all our favourite people.

I had my wedding reception in a free and ugly church hall. But it looked beautiful when it was full of my friends and family. Never regretted it, still together 20 years later.
