Joysmum · 16/02/2014 16:27

Tomorrow morning is going to be D Day. Fingers crossed that's the last day of it for you Mrsd

TalkinPeace · 16/02/2014 16:28

OK
I admit, I'm a sad muppet.
Having for entirely sane reasons suggested to MrsCaruso that she gets the threads deleted due to self outing
I was inordinately chuffed to find it still here
and that all is still amusing!

parking threads are the bestest
especially caulk head ones

ooh, the motorway past the Koan is where its at after all Grin

Pimpf · 16/02/2014 16:30

Shame you can't go away for the week, after she was warned

Ratbagcatbag · 16/02/2014 16:32

Shamelessly marks place. :)

Lottiedoubtie · 16/02/2014 16:56

I'd put a sign on your door that reads,

'No calls before 7.30am' (or whenever you feel is reasonable) and I wouldn't answer the door before then!

Morgause · 16/02/2014 16:57

Sign should read that the door will not be answered between the hours of 8pm and 8am because a child is sleeping.

Fairenuff · 16/02/2014 17:03

Or a note to 'The Owner of vehicle registration...' posted to 'The Occupier of flat number...'

'"Dear vehicle owner. Your vehicle is currently parked on private land. To remove it, please contact me. I am available between the hours of x and x. If I do not hear from you I will look into removal by tow truck."

Do you think Bin lady is protesting?

OwlCapone · 16/02/2014 17:52

Can you turn Bin lady's car into some kind of water feature in your new garden?

hamptoncourt · 16/02/2014 17:53

I don't think bin woman will be swayed by a sign on OPs door sadly. I suspect she has planned all along to wake you at an inappropriate moment.

Seriously if you don't have conclusion by the morning I would be inclined to ask the police for advice. If they could be persuaded to knock on her door and order her to remove her car think how shamefaced she will be.

A letter saying you are going away might nudge it though?

peggyundercrackers · 16/02/2014 17:57

im with Hampton - I wouldn't give bin lady the satisfaction of knocking me up early, I would call police tonight and ask them to go to her door to move car because its on private property.

wowfudge · 16/02/2014 17:58

Looking forward to finding out what happens with Bin Lady. I hope you have a folder with copies of all your correspondence in it Mrsd. I am wondering if Bin Lady might cause an almighty cafuffle (spelling?) tomorrow morning and ring the police claiming you've kidnapped her car or some such. Oh to be a fly on the wall!

Jacksmania · 16/02/2014 17:59

Zombie bollards would definitely make a statement :o

ButICantaloupe · 16/02/2014 18:00

If I knew Bin lady's routine, I would be 'out' when I knew she needed to leave.

RubberBullets · 16/02/2014 18:09

Knock on Bin Lady's door and ask for her car keys, she has clearly gifted the car to you by parking it on your land and leaving it there. Possession is 9/10 of the law and all that :o

YellowDinosaur · 16/02/2014 18:11

I think I'd go / send dh to knock on her for and ask her to move the car

QOD · 16/02/2014 18:13

Bet that cow bag knocks tonight

manticlimactic · 16/02/2014 18:18

Can you see them at night? Wonder if some bright spark will drive over the bollard (in or out) and start carrying on.

EeyoreIsh · 16/02/2014 18:19

shamelessly marking my place...

onedev · 16/02/2014 18:40

Just saw this thread - well done Op. If I were you I would ignore any door knocking either tonight or in the morning & happily let them be late for work!

lastnightIwenttoManderley · 16/02/2014 18:41

Zombie you can get some creepy ones that look like small children in a village of the damned way. They put some outside a school in the hope that seeing kids at the side of the road might slow cars down but it just scared the bejesus out of the cars instead...

4PlusMum · 16/02/2014 18:43

De-lurking to suggest that your solicitor serves notice under the Torts (Interference With Goods) Act 1977 on Bin Laden. If she doesn't move her car within the period specified in the notice you get to dispose of the car. The other option is to tow the car on to the public highway and leave it there.

Opps...just remembered you're in the IOW so a Torts notice won't work but hopefully there is an Island equivalent. Teach Bin Laden who is boss!

VegetariansTasteLikeChicken · 16/02/2014 18:47

good idea mantic, make sure you have reflectors on them OP!
