OP did post a pic of her bollards (ahem) earlier

They have quite a large rectangular base (dunno how it's fixed) & then a tall upside-down-U-shaped barrier

I'm guessing it was on the previous thread?

Pheonixisrising · 16/02/2014 13:58

I cannot believe that they have the bloody cheek not to move their cars.

how long can they stay there before you can sell them as scrap ???

Found the link

\link{http://www.ultrasecuredirect.com/acatalog/Battery_Powered_Remote_Control_Automatic_Parking_Bollard.html\these}

It says some of them lock but the hoop ones can be pushed down

ExitPursuedTheRoyalPrude · 16/02/2014 14:24

Parking my arse

BlackeyedSusan · 16/02/2014 14:36

Ihope you had a lovely lunch! i shall look forward to updates later.....

TalkieToaster · 16/02/2014 14:48

Shamelessly placemarking for later.

TalkieToaster · 16/02/2014 14:56

PSML! An advert for penguin bollards is now appearing in the bottom right of my screen.

Lambzig · 16/02/2014 14:59

Am I the only one wondering what on earth shouts man was saying. I can't imagine if he had the letters, etc, that it wasn't clear to him. What a strange person.

I think it will be Monday now.

Mrsdavidcaruso · 16/02/2014 15:03

Sorry just got back cars still there and there has been no notes pushed through door so I think we are going to get a couple of early wakeup knocks on the doors on Monday

Morgause · 16/02/2014 15:04

Was lunch nice?

TalkieToaster · 16/02/2014 15:09

Don't be sorry, you have no obligation to post although please do, or we'll all go nuts wanting to know what happened.

littlepurplealien · 16/02/2014 15:10

Wouldn't it be a shame if your dh needs to go to work earlier than the tenants usually depart tomorrow and "inadvertently" take the remote control with him.

Oh what a shame that they'll be late for work because he has to drive back (from round the corner where he has been reading the newspaper waiting for the call from you).

TalkieToaster · 16/02/2014 15:12

^ this. This. Please. Please do this.

LadyPenny · 16/02/2014 15:35

Love purple aliens idea.

Was just looking out of my top window from where I have a great view of the island. I was thinking of you and wondering if red car woman had been round yet.

hamptoncourt · 16/02/2014 15:38

If it were me I would just go out really early and have a lovely day giggling about the locked in cars.

Or stay in with selective deafness. Can't DH park a few streets away tonight and just smuggle himself out quietly in the morning?

PigletJohn · 16/02/2014 15:54

Plough.

fresh · 16/02/2014 16:02

Arf pigletjohn. Pithy as ever Grin

GiraffesAndButterflies · 16/02/2014 16:08

I'm so glad there's no camera feed of all this. I would waste SO much time watching for bin lady. Has she been round yet?

As it is I'm just occasionally wasting time.

how about now? Any sign?

Mrsdavidcaruso · 16/02/2014 16:11

Good news and bad news one of the car owners has just claimed his car and taken it away - thats the good news, bad news is bin ladys car is still there and she has not been to get her car.

However (and this is the good part) the other car owner was one of the nice ones it was just that didn't have chance to move his car on Saturday and he has given us the flat number of bin lady although he does not know her name but at least we can let the letting agent know which flat the car belongs to if she doesn't come and get it.

So things will be happening am now waiting to hear from the planning dept to see if we have to get permission to extend our garden and also
to see if we need permission to put a sun room on the back of the house.

Definitely don't give them the satisfaction of disturbing you early tomorrow morning. Tell them that dh has the control and he will be back after 5pm.

What was shouty man shouting about. Did he try to say that he had a right to park there? Confused

msrisotto · 16/02/2014 16:13

I don't imagine she'll be leaving the car there forever. It rather defeats the point of owning a car if the parking wars mean you can never use it! I doubt that she'll be reasonable though, unfortunately. If she does get shouty, just refer her back to her landlord.

RandomMess · 16/02/2014 16:18

Bin lady is very strange indeed...

SadFreak · 16/02/2014 16:20

Yeah I deffo reckon Bin Lady is planning to knock on your door at 6am tomorrow morning in an arsey manner. She is like a spoilt brat - wants the last word.
