And as pointed out previously, if the tenants hadn't been abusive arses, the OP would never have engaged the solicitor, who wouldn't have found out about the real owner if the lab who wouldn't have offered it to the OP. They really are the masters of their own destruction.

Shamelessly marking my space

squoosh · 16/02/2014 02:43

OP I hope you redirect any angry callers to their landlord who is the person they should actually be raging at.

Not.Your.Problem.

AcrossthePond55 · 16/02/2014 02:54

Just caught up after being out of town. Well done for the bollards!

MrsAMerrick · 16/02/2014 06:25

Cant wait for todys updates - hope bin lady and partner are ok with you MrsD. As others have said, they should be focussing their anger on LL not poor OP......

Am seriously considering booking holiday to IoW to view penguin bollards........

Nottheshrinkingcapgrandpa · 16/02/2014 07:54

Here's to finding out the denouement with Bin Lady today.

Just had a read of the last couple of pages here and I have read the whole original thread. Does anyone think that some of the tenants might be under the misapprehension that Mr and Mrsdavid are the LL and not just the neighbours? This might explain why despite plenty of warning they still haven't moved their cars. Or perhaps they are just arses (rhetorical question in case of Bin 'Lady').

RudolphtheRedknowsraindear · 16/02/2014 08:52

I think I'd let the local PCSO/police know of your concerns. A police car round at your house can do wonders for helping people see sense & stop all the abuse they've been subjecting you to.
Also, the LL has been shabby, both to his tenants and to you: leaving his mess on your doorstep. Could you not suggest joining forces with Bin Lady & co to bring him to account? It might help her to redirect her misplaced anger at the right person!
Hope things settle down quickly for you Thanks

birdmomma · 16/02/2014 08:56

Seriously, I am being followed by penguin bollards all over the internet now. There are adverts for bloody penguin bollards on every website I go to.

TheProsAndConsOfHitchhiking · 16/02/2014 09:01

birdmomma Me too They are EVERYWHERE Grin

OddFodd · 16/02/2014 09:02

No, I don't think so, wow. I think they've treated mrsdc like an ineffectual irritant since this whole thing began and thought they could bully her into backing down. Or their ll has continued to bullshit them and assured them he'd sort it out when there's no way he could because the land doesn't belong to him

wowfudge · 16/02/2014 09:08

Odd I see where you are coming from. Just thinking that with managing agents involved, as the LA seem to be, the tenants may not even know who the LL is. It's probably in a company name not that of an individual anyway. But yes, LL is probably just wrong and full of BS.

minibmw2010 · 16/02/2014 09:19

From memory the LL came around quite a bit In the original post and the tenants and OP all know who it is, how to contact, etc. The OP and her DH have given the LL and tenants plenty of notice that this was happening. If the LL is missing in action now it's only because he's avoiding his tenants !! Smile

sashh · 16/02/2014 09:22

inabeautifulplace

She has told the LL.
She has sent solicitor's letters to the LL.
She has been to the letting agency and they have contacted the LL.
All the tenants have had a letter from her solicitor at her expense telling them she owns the land and giving them 3 weeks notice that she is installing bollards and they will come in to operation 5pm 15/02/14.

What else do you expect her to do?

FobblyWoof · 16/02/2014 09:29

Glad it's gone well so far.

Marking place to see what bin lady does today Smile

EauRouge · 16/02/2014 09:31

She probably should have hired a barber shop quartet to go and sing to the tenants a song about parking entitlement, piss-taking landlords and penguin bollards.

Please do that, OP.

Sparklymommy · 16/02/2014 09:34

I am wondering who still has cars parked on op's land this morning. And I am waiting with baited breath for an update from op.

wowfudge · 16/02/2014 09:35

EauRouge if someone sent a barber shop quartet round to me I would move. Sharpish. And not just my car. Can't bear them. And don't get me started on male voice choirs.

Morgause · 16/02/2014 09:46

Wake up Mrs DC. There must be some overnight news.

Pipbin · 16/02/2014 09:51

Still in bed here (the joys of being child free) and the first thing I have done is looked for an update.
I wonder if bin lady is so bloody minded that she will just go out and buy a new car and leave that one there for ever.

Morgause · 16/02/2014 09:54
MollyMakesMeWantToDance · 16/02/2014 09:56

Nipped by for an update. Can't believe the gall of the shouty man. What is it with these people?

Hopefully no one woke you overnight Mrs DC. Any news from bin lady?
