just because the indian restaurant didn't bring his onion bhajis!

Rather than enjoying a lovely takeaway meal together (a rare treat for us) my DP has spent the last 25 minutes on the phone to the restaurant complaining. To clarify we were not charged for these although i did hear him ordering them. A simply mistake, annoying, but worth ruining the whole night over? After setting the table and lighting candles i ended up sitting there alone with my tikka massala listening to him on the phone in the other room. AIBU to feel this gutted? He's staring at the tv now with his meal on his lap (cold) whilst i have decided to vent on here rather than at him!

Both over reacting a bit I think.

Only1scoop · 08/02/2014 22:04

And not cause such Argi Bhaji Grin

AgentZigzag · 08/02/2014 22:05

Does he do this to you often?

Did he really not know how much the meal meant to you? (if he failed to pick up on the environment you'd created etc)

It does sound an OTT response, but then sometimes things can get your goat more than they normally would. If he doesn't do it all the time I'd wonder what was up and cut him some slack, if he's forever going off in an overly angry strop and taking it out on you then more fool him because why would you put up with that long term?

AwfulMaureen · 08/02/2014 22:05

He wanted Bhhajis. He was looking forward to them. His meal was tainted. YABU.

MidniteScribbler · 08/02/2014 22:11

Sometimes you get yourself all excited for something. I've been wanting to go to my favourite Korean restaurant for ages, was going to go yesterday, then they were closed. We went to Yum Cha instead, which was nice, but I'm still not satisfied because I was hanging out for Korean.

Although the sulking about it is pretty silly. Why couldn't he just have ordered what he wanted and got them to deliver it/pick it up? He might have had to wait a bit longer, but he still would have received them.

WorraLiberty · 08/02/2014 22:12

OP, ask him how long he's gonna curry this on for Grin
