just because the indian restaurant didn't bring his onion bhajis!

Rather than enjoying a lovely takeaway meal together (a rare treat for us) my DP has spent the last 25 minutes on the phone to the restaurant complaining. To clarify we were not charged for these although i did hear him ordering them. A simply mistake, annoying, but worth ruining the whole night over? After setting the table and lighting candles i ended up sitting there alone with my tikka massala listening to him on the phone in the other room. AIBU to feel this gutted? He's staring at the tv now with his meal on his lap (cold) whilst i have decided to vent on here rather than at him!

Did he dhal 999?

Lovecat · 08/02/2014 22:18

Well, DH threw a hissy fit tonight because the pitta bread that came with his kebab wasn't cut properly and his kebab is 'ruined' - are you my SIL, OP, and we're married to a pair of food-related drama queens? (we however, are flobbed in front of the telly watching a crappy film instead of having a nicely set table with candles, so you have more to get cross about...)

blahblahblah2014 · 08/02/2014 22:19

Curry house denied he ordered them (he did, i heard him) so they are saying that he has to pay a 3 pound delivery charge if he only has bhajis delivered, which is mainly what he is arguing about. Was looking forward to sitting down to a nice meal together and it's ruined now. I understand why he's annoyed though, i just wouldn't have let it ruin the evening.

Only1scoop · 08/02/2014 22:20

Op had he had a bad day? As it seems a bit over the top to ruin your evening for....

WeAreSix · 08/02/2014 22:21

Don't make a big daal of it.

WorraLiberty · 08/02/2014 22:21

Aww OP, sorry for taking the piss...was just trying to cheer you up.

In all seriousness I'd be annoyed to that he let it ruin the evening instead of just accepting there was a mix up.

Mintyy · 08/02/2014 22:22

Yanbu. I hate it when people get disproportionately angry over minor things. Its very wearing and draining. I would far rather spend my time with people who don't sweat the small stuff (sorry for dreadful cliche).

Only1scoop · 08/02/2014 22:22

Op have we cheered you up....even just a tad?

LiberalLibertine · 08/02/2014 22:22

Lock yourself vindaloo and MN all night :)

Only1scoop · 08/02/2014 22:25

Don't look at his miserable face eating his cold take away.
Imagine his head is just a giant poppadum

ItStillLooksLikeRainDear · 08/02/2014 22:25

No harm meant OP just having a rogan josh to cheer you up.

letitburn · 08/02/2014 22:26

YANBU.

I'm not sure everyone should be Rogan Joshing like this.
