To banish playmobil from our house?

DD1 just doesn't seem to play with the stuff, it is too small and too fiddly.
The stuff we got her two Christmas's ago sit in their box, the fiddly knights/princesses etc rarely see the inside of her wooden castle.

Wishing I had just got her lots of new Schleich figures as they always get played with, look fab and realistic and don't have teeny-tiny pieces to lose.

Shall I round it all up and sell what we have or keep it for DD2 (18 months)?

Anyone done a successful playmobil banishment?

sell it! You'll get loads for it!

LydiaCrawford · 09/01/2014 17:39

I've just got rid of the last of it.
Found it too fiddly for my DC when they were little and too babyish when they were a bit older and able to manage it!

Whitewhine · 09/01/2014 17:41

I sold a job lot via gumtree just before Xmas. Got £150 for it so was pleased. It's worth keeping boxes and instructions if you have space in the loft!

My ds never played with it - was mainly put away as dd was at the crawling/putting everything in her mouth stage when we bought it.

You'd better not let Norman the Foreman see this.

Omg! Playmobil is amazing! My DD (2.5) got the camper van for Christmas and loves it! But of course, if it's not being played with then sell it.

Shock Sad

NormanTheForeman · 09/01/2014 17:54

Probably better to sell it if the poor little people are going to be left in a box unplayed with. Sad You get quite good prices for it on eBay, and some other lucky child who likes us plastic dudes will then be happy. Smile

Taffeta · 09/01/2014 17:56

Norm did the Sad face. Shock

Op, you must retract this wild statement with immediate effect. Norm cannot do the sad face.

Taffeta · 09/01/2014 17:57

shudder @ "playmobil banishment"

VworpVworp · 09/01/2014 17:57

YABVVVVU! Playmobil is brilliant!
WOuld she prefer police or animals or divers instead of knights/princesses?

NormanTheForeman · 09/01/2014 18:00

I think I love you, VworpVworp! Smile

Helpyourself · 09/01/2014 18:02

Ah Playmobil

MyNameIsKenAdams · 09/01/2014 18:03

If you have any room sets, PM me what you want for them as I am kitting out dds Dolls House with playmobil for her third birthday

NormanTheForeman · 09/01/2014 18:05

Haha, Helpyourself! I'm in your link! Grin

WaitMonkey · 09/01/2014 18:06

Save it for dc2, she may lovely it. If not, then sell it, you'll still get loads.

MsYamada · 09/01/2014 18:07

Darn, should've covered Normy's eyes not ears.

Helpyourself · 09/01/2014 18:07

Are you one of the shitting brickies Norman?

NormanTheForeman · 09/01/2014 18:08

I'll buy it! 3 year old DS is besotted with his playmobil swimming pool. It was the only thing he asked for and plays with it for hours.

NormanTheForeman · 09/01/2014 18:29
