If it was a man that had assaulted his wife would he still be on the telly?

Confused

I know what you mean, but there are actors/musicians with a history of dv who are still successful.

GodRestTEEMerryGenTEEmen · 22/12/2013 14:24

I don't even know who she is.

And what Fav said.

Sparklingbrook · 22/12/2013 14:26

Oh no i have started another thread completely forgetting this one from only last week started by me Blush

Anyway. It makes me that cross. Not to mention she is not a great presenter either.

OP posts:
southeastastra · 22/12/2013 14:26

i don't mind her, what's she done?

Sparklingbrook · 22/12/2013 14:27

So there's lots of them on TV? Sad

OP posts:
MissWinter01 · 22/12/2013 14:27

Yeah he probably would be...

Sparklingbrook · 22/12/2013 14:28

This sea.

GodRestTEEMerryGenTEEmen · 22/12/2013 14:37

I don't know about a lot Sparky but certainly some.

And not just presenters. Tons of people use DV and keep their careers right on moving.

Sparklingbrook · 22/12/2013 14:41

True TEE. I don't know what to think. I suppose lots of people work alongside people that have a history of DV and they don't even know.

I just find it hard top watch her simpering and giggling over double entendres with Gino knowing what we know.

OP posts:
GodRestTEEMerryGenTEEmen · 22/12/2013 14:43

To be obvious: change the channel?

Sparklingbrook · 22/12/2013 14:45

In my defence I was channel hopping and noticed it was still on. I didn't keep it on. Grin

DH had it on the kitchen and even he said 'How is she on the TV?'.

OP posts:
lymiemum · 22/12/2013 14:47

I had the exact same conversation with dh yesterday. If it was the other way round there would be far more 'news' about it.

caruthers · 22/12/2013 14:49

She sounds like she's a right piece of work doesn't she?

bigkidsdidit · 22/12/2013 14:50

Charles sAatchi still has his column in the Evening Standard. Jim Davidson is still on new Tricks isn't je? Unfortunately there are a lot of them about :(

Sparklingbrook · 22/12/2013 14:51

She was bad enough as it was. DH has just reminded me of the stomach churning TMI tweets when she first got together with the bloke.

OP posts:
MrsVaughnRice · 22/12/2013 14:52

Well when I was growing up, the top star of the country's top rates soap opera had an actual conviction for murder, and no one seemed to care. Nobody is caring much about Denis Waterman being on New Tricks either.

LaGuardia · 22/12/2013 14:52

Galleries still sell Rolf Harris paintings and that really makes me want to hurl

bigkidsdidit · 22/12/2013 14:54

Denis Waterman! That's who I mean!

Sparklingbrook · 22/12/2013 14:54

Has RH been charged with anything yet?

MrsV was that Dirty Den?

OP posts:
SauceForTheGander · 22/12/2013 14:55

I agree with you. I find the casual acceptance of slebs poor / illegal bahaviour irritating in the extreme.

What a horrible mess that whole relationship was.

cantheyseeme · 22/12/2013 14:56

My sisters school has a massive painting that rolf harriss came to the school to do year ago.... still there! Massively prominent place in the assembly hall too!

cantheyseeme · 22/12/2013 14:57

years ago rather.

Sparklingbrook · 22/12/2013 14:58

I am really confused as to how I feel. Should I want people accused of DV, unemployed and destitute? Oh i don't know now.

OP posts:
caruthers · 22/12/2013 15:00

She admitted the offence and was cautioned by the police.

ToffeeOwnsTheSausage · 22/12/2013 15:01

If you mean the show with Gino they are hardly going to pull it when it is pre-recorded and is a kind of useful programme, for those needing cooking help.
