If it was a man that had assaulted his wife would he still be on the telly?

Confused

If a man has admitted it and has been allowed to work again, that's bad, but probably JTB - you can't undo the past. But it's time for the BBC and the TV companies to say that in future no one, man or woman, who is convicted of (or accepts a caution for) an act of d.v. or of harm to children shall show their face on the gogglebox again.

Whether you show their past work is more difficult. To say No would be unfair to others who they appeared with, but of course if you show it you have to pay repeat fees.

Sadly I think it was more to do with John Leslie's colourful sex life that he lost his job on daytime tv than the accusations of rape that were from a few women

Sparklingbrook · 22/12/2013 18:33

Oh dear. It's all horrible isn't it. I would prefer celebs to not be wife/husband beaters. Plus I don't want to know about their sex lives.

John Lennon still sells a lot of music and is regarded as some kind of guru of goodness.
