If it was a man that had assaulted his wife would he still be on the telly?

Confused

I think they could pull it easily. Cooking shows with celebrity chefs at Christmas are ten a penny, and virtually identical.

She was really rude to my cousin when he was working on a photo shoot a few years ago. I've never cared for her since Grin

Kate Moss was very friendly and nice just to add a bit of balance.

Sparklingbrook · 22/12/2013 15:06

There are so many other people that could do her ditzy giggly stupid act so much better. Don't care much for Gino either TBH.

SauceForTheGander · 22/12/2013 15:09

Is that Gino accent exaggerated wildly the burglar?

Oh what a Christmassy pair.

If she's accepted a caution for DV then I think it's strage to see her on the tele. Sends a sorry message to men in DV situations who feel their plight is not taken seriously.

SauceForTheGander · 22/12/2013 15:09

Sorry ex burglar

Mignonette · 22/12/2013 15:10

Squoosh Yes, Kate Moss is a joy to work with and very democratic too. and she doesn't beat her partners up

Sparklingbrook · 22/12/2013 15:11

OMG Sauce you are right. Blimey. What a lovely pair-very festive.

DH has just said-

'If Phillip Schofield accepted a caution for DV against his wife would you expect to see him still hosting This Morning?'

OP posts:
Lj8893 · 22/12/2013 15:14

Ha, her husband/soon to be ex husband is from my town. Relationship was doomed from the start lets face it.

Sparklingbrook · 22/12/2013 15:15

YY Lj those tweets were not good at the start.

OP posts:
Lj8893 · 22/12/2013 15:17

Exactly!! Who does that?!

SauceForTheGander · 22/12/2013 15:18

Sparkling I just had the exact same conversation with Mr Sauce!

Sparklingbrook · 22/12/2013 15:19

We are both having very highbrow conversations with our DHs today Sauce. Daytime telly.

OP posts:
HairyGrotter · 22/12/2013 15:20

Many 'famous' or 'noted' folk who have committed DV remain in their jobs. Doesn't send a clear message that it is unacceptable, I have very little knowledge on the ins and outs of her marriage so not fit to comment other than thinking violence is vile, regardless of gender

FreudiansSlipper · 22/12/2013 15:20

Yes is the question to your dh's question, but it would be a question about how server the attack was if she was in hospital seriously injured then no

And we have many men on tv who are known to have been violent towards their partner and many men who are still idolised with a history of dv

It seems we can seperate serious artists and those we do not consider artists and are celebs/pop stars should we not be burning all our beatles, stones and dvd's of Steve McQueen

Sparklingbrook · 22/12/2013 15:22

It would be difficult for him to do a piece about DV Freudian.

It's all horrible to think about really.

OP posts:
Fairylea · 22/12/2013 15:24

Dh and I had the same conversation about this yesterday. We both agreed if for example phillip schofield had done something like that the show would have (and should have) someone else doing it.

Regardless of the circumstances of her marriage her husband was assaulted by her and that should be held up as wrong.

I worked as a make up artist for a long time and knew people who had worked on her and they all said she was vile. They all used to draw straws to see who would get her.

Andrewofgg · 22/12/2013 15:24

Leave the RH painting where it is unless and until he is convicted. Innocent till proved guilty. Admitting it = proved.

Andrewofgg · 22/12/2013 15:27

As for Davidson he is not even being prosecuted. Why should he not have work on television?

Sparklingbrook · 22/12/2013 15:29

bigkids didn't mean Jim Davidson Andrew she meant Dennis Waterman.

OP posts:
FreudiansSlipper · 22/12/2013 15:31

has Denis Waterman been prosecuted he certainly admitted being violent towards his ex and blamed her for being too clever

JD has written about his hitting his ex wife in his autobiography

Sparklingbrook · 22/12/2013 15:32

TBF Jim Davidson is a knob and shouldn't be on the TV anyway.

Who was the This Morning presenter who was sacked as he was suspected of assaulting Ulrika Johnson? He was whipped off the air with no proof. Mel Sykes is a gobby mare, she assaulted her husband - she shouldn't be on tv.

cantheyseeme · 22/12/2013 16:16

John lesley, never knew what happened there Hmm

Sparklingbrook · 22/12/2013 16:16

John Leslie Solitude. Was he accused of rape but found innocent?
