To be FURIOUS at Waitrose?

I am disgusted and appalled and my evening is ruined.

Having purchased my Waitrose Essentials thin and crispy cheese and ham Pizza I came home expected an easy tea.

I have just got the pizza out and gone to lift the label where it states clearly "peel here". It doesn't peel! Nothing nada. I have NO ACCESS TO THE COOKING INSTRUCTIONS. Angry

I am now having to wing it. I have had to put the oven on and recklessly just pick a temperature and monitor the pizza.

This pizza is meant to be eaten by my children fgs. What if I haven't cooked it properly? Waitrose should think of the children. Sad

I still have the label. In all its stuck together glory. I am going to write to the national press about this and I may sue.

How could they do this to me? I hate it when bad things happen to good people? Sad

AIBU to start some sort of campaign?

Isildur · 01/11/2013 18:16

It will surely kill you all.

Still, there's another poster tonight who thinks her posh onion bahjis are a bit poisonous, so you'll be in good company. Grin

StealthPolarBear · 01/11/2013 18:16

Op are you ok?

wheretoyougonow · 01/11/2013 18:17

Order a domino's and send the bill to Waitrose. I'm sorry to hear your having such an awful evening. Try and calm down and have Wine.

StealthPolarBear · 01/11/2013 18:18

If the op is hd, chances are high the thread is a pisstake. GenerL rule of thumb.
Sorry hd, but it's true :o

Pobblewhohasnotoes · 01/11/2013 18:18

YABU

pizza is not a Friday night dinner.. it's for Saturday only

You deserve your lableless existence for contravening this basic rule Blush

FruOla · 01/11/2013 18:22

Fumming is good, maybe I should have 'fummed' yesterday instead of being 'terribly British'? Grin

ExcuseTypos · 01/11/2013 18:23

Sad the worlds gone to hell in a hand cart, if Waitrose can't even get things right.

miffybun73 · 01/11/2013 18:23

phantomnamechanger - I love you for your discusted and appauled,

cocolepew · 01/11/2013 18:23

We don't even have a Waitrose in NI

miffybun73 · 01/11/2013 18:24

Ooops, errant comma, should have been a full stop.

StealthPolarBear · 01/11/2013 18:24

fumming sounds rude!

KeemaNaanAndCurryon · 01/11/2013 18:25

This would NEVER have happened if you'd bought a Pizza from ASDA who I can report are the Pizza Retailer of the Year no less.

Waitrose are punishing you for not making your own pizza out of organic flour and fair trade mozzarella like you should, you skank.

10-12 mins at gas mark 6. Check after 6 and turn it round so it cooks more evenly.

HoneyDragon · 01/11/2013 18:27

It's terrible. I have stuck the label on my kitchen wall as a bitter reminder of the cruelty of Waitrose.

After of course having several more attempts at separation only to sink to my knees on the kitchen floor, shake my fist to the sky and scream "Damn you Waitose. DAMN YOU TO HELL!"

Does anyone else just chuck a pizza in the oven and hope for the best? I mean, take it out when it looks done? I'm sure people have died doing this, but I survive.

Kundry · 01/11/2013 18:30

Liking the variety in oven temperatures. I cook EVERYTHING at 200. To my mind there are no other oven temperatures.
