for polishing off my terry's chocolate orange?! Ok maybe kill is a bit strong but I really love them.

To make it worse he snaffled it while I was drinking wine doing something important and now I have no hangover cure chocolate sniff

I have just confronted dh over the chocolate theft and he wasn't even in the slightest bit sorry. I've told him not to bother coming home....he thinks I'm joking, you just don't mess with my chocolate orange.

so should I a:LTB or b:forgive him if he grovels a bit?

or am I being a bit U?

Yabu

You sound like you don't like your body much

Binkyridesagain · 19/09/2013 15:14

You might be a little unreasonable its only a chocolate orange, if it was the popping candy one then I would advise you to LTB

pianodoodle · 19/09/2013 15:14

Ragin for you! I hate thinking I've something nice in the cupboard only to get there and find rich teas Angry

No one ever steals the rich teas...

fleacircus · 19/09/2013 15:14

Have you decided how you'll kill him? And dispose of the body?

VanitasVanitatum · 19/09/2013 15:14

LTB!! What was he thinking?! All could be forgiven if he brings you another home from work?

aturtlenamedmack · 19/09/2013 15:15

Hmm yes both wine and chocolate. That is shocking.
Akin to tooting rock.

KeemaNaanAndCurryOn · 19/09/2013 15:15

#firstworldproblem

Don't you know there's starving marmosets in MarmosetLand who can only afford Lidl chocolate orange.

Isildur · 19/09/2013 15:17

You ought to make him buy a few more.

I once ate one in the summer, it just wasn't the same. All warm, with no 'snap'.

They are an autumn/winter thing, a seasonal food, like parsnips, squash, and good corn.

DameDeepRedBetty · 19/09/2013 15:17

I take it he did the dirty deed sometime last night while you were drinking wine doing something very important?

And this morning when your head was still mildly thumping you needed a sugar rush and IT WAS GONE?

LTB is too good. Hang draw and quarter him first.

SongBirdsKeepSinging · 19/09/2013 15:18

Hmmm not thought as far ahead as disposing of him....would the dog eat him do you think?

I love my body....I love it all the more when it's filled with yummy chocolate orangey goodness.

I think if he replaced it I could see a way out of this....especially if he added wine as an incentive

Isildur · 19/09/2013 15:19

Do Lidl really do a chocolate orange?! Or are you teasing?

Maybe their buyers take suggestions, I bet an Aldi or Lidl orange would be almost as good as the real thing.

SongBirdsKeepSinging · 19/09/2013 15:19

you are exactly right dame I was distraught, poor dd2 didn't understand why I was emptying the cupboards at lightning speed

Grotbagstwin · 19/09/2013 15:20

I would demand replacement of the chocolate orange with interest, I would work out the interest rate like one of those payday loans, isn't it something like 2256% apr?

cjel · 19/09/2013 15:21

LTB unless he brings home more.

SongBirdsKeepSinging · 19/09/2013 15:21

Morrisons do their own brand of it but it was a bit not right....maybe because it wasn't shaped like an orange and there was no need to whack it on a hard surface. It just wasn't the same.

OP, you have been unnecessarily cruel... to me...... I LOVE LOVE LOVE Terry's Chocolate Orange and we only get them at Easter time when one of our lovely supermarkets imports them along with the crème eggs. I want a piece right now, and I have to wait until next year for mine... sobs...

SongBirdsKeepSinging · 19/09/2013 15:23

That is good thinking grotbag I wouldn't have thought of that.

He won't bring any home he's left his wallet here on purpose I think so I guess I will have to LTB...shame really as he's quite a good dh normally

OP posts:
VanitasVanitatum · 19/09/2013 15:24

They're not just winter food!! Just keep them in the fridge or the freezer!!!

SongBirdsKeepSinging · 19/09/2013 15:25

oh lolly I'm so sorry! what kind of devil land doesn't sell terry's?! Should be a legal requirement that we can get our fix any time we please

OP posts:
Lweji · 19/09/2013 15:25

LTB unless he brings home more.

This.

Lock all doors until he passes some chocolate over through the letter box.

Lweji · 19/09/2013 15:25

Pass him his wallet through said letter box.

TheVermiciousKnid · 19/09/2013 15:26

YABU. Terry's chocolate orange is yucky. Thank him for saving you from it!

MrsOakenshield · 19/09/2013 15:26

good heavens! Sackable offence in my book.

But - chocolate orange is quite quite disgusting with wine. In fact I have discovered, much to my annoyance, that most chocolate doesn't go well with wine, which is disappointing, to say the least.

SongBirdsKeepSinging · 19/09/2013 15:26

Doors are locked and the keys are in. Should I throw his wallet at him through the window with a note saying fetch Terry's and wine or go back to you mums?
