to want to kill dh

for polishing off my terry's chocolate orange?! Ok maybe kill is a bit strong but I really love them.

To make it worse he snaffled it while I was drinking wine doing something important and now I have no hangover cure chocolate sniff

I hope it's a dark chocolate orange. Because I have no sympathy if it's milk, in fact he's done you a favour.

SongBirdsKeepSinging · 19/09/2013 15:29

TMK it is the most heavenly chocolate ever, but I accept maybe I am being a bit U....only a bit though.

Don't worry mrsoak I won't be having them together,I agree wine and chocolate together is wrong.

Shall I ring mil (who bought me the Terry's) and explain to her that her ds is in fact a thief?

It is the milk one Blush I can't eat dark chocolate.

He made it worse for himself in two ways:

1: this morning he casually asked where the Terry's had come from and whose it was, I told him mil got it for me off dd1 to say sorry for her bad behaviour earlier in the week, and he said 'oh that's nice' knowing full well he'd eaten it and didn't say another thing!

2: when I confronted him he said he was doing me a favour 'coz of your weight' I'm only a size 12!

YES complain to the MIL! As

a) she must be the good sort of MIL if she bought you a TCO
b) if she's the good sort she's bound to make your DH buy you a new one
c) just in case, she might buy you another one as well , and then you'd have TWO chocolate oranges.

Got to be worth a shot...

SongBirdsKeepSinging · 19/09/2013 15:35

love your thinking reveal

hugoagogo · 19/09/2013 15:36

I used to adore terry's chocolate, but it is all fake and lardy now. Sad

Cluffyflump · 19/09/2013 15:39

What had mil done?
I can't think of anythin bad enough to warrant handing over a chocolate orange for!

SongBirdsKeepSinging · 19/09/2013 15:41

Mil bought it for dd1 to give to me (she's 3) because she behaved very badly earlier in the week so it was an 'I'm sorry mummy' present

OP posts:
SongBirdsKeepSinging · 19/09/2013 15:42

Right he finishes at 4....he can't get in at present, what demands shall I make before I let him in. He will agree to prett much anything I think so that the neighbours don't learn of his thievery

OP posts:
Cluffyflump · 19/09/2013 15:46

Oh.
I read it wrong Grin

Your dh must have balls of steel. My own dh would have crumbled by now, begging for forgiveness and promises of more chocolate!

SongBirdsKeepSinging · 19/09/2013 15:49

He thinks he can worm round me with his little jokes, he's gone too far this time Grin

OP posts:
SongBirdsKeepSinging · 19/09/2013 15:51

I have spoken to mil and she said not to let him in and she's not letting him in either ha!up yours mrthievingsong

hellsbellsmelons · 19/09/2013 15:54

This has made me smile today!

You demand another 2 chocolate oranges and 2 bottles of your favourite wine. A good night out with a nice meal and more wine!

Simples! Grin

honeybunny14 · 19/09/2013 15:55

Yanbu id be the same

PeterParkerSays · 19/09/2013 15:56

YABU, you kept it in the wrong place if he could find it and eat it. That's what your Christmas present cupboard is for.

SongBirdsKeepSinging · 19/09/2013 15:56

I'm pleased to have made you smile hells but my misery is genuine [sob] Grin I like your list of demands too.

I have text him to tell him mil has said he's not welcome there in case he steals their Terry's too Grin

SongBirdsKeepSinging · 19/09/2013 15:59

peterparker you are right of course maybe I am BU then....maybe he couldn't help himself BUT shouldn't he have owned up this morning instead of slinking off to work after me telling him why I had one in the first place?

RevealTheHiddenBeach · 19/09/2013 16:01

So glad your MIL is on board! these things need to be nipped in the bud... next thing you know, he'll be eating your birthday chocolates, and there is no going back from that...

lurkedtoolong · 19/09/2013 16:01

Your MIL is fab. Can you LTB but keep her?

OhDearNigel · 19/09/2013 16:04

Hmm Surely nobody can be this preachy in Real Life ?

SongBirdsKeepSinging · 19/09/2013 16:06

Yorkieaddict · 19/09/2013 16:10

YANBU. Kill him, but only after he's replaced the chocolate. You just can't risk this happening again! Grin

RevealTheHiddenBeach · 19/09/2013 16:21
