I hate chocolate orange, but he shouldn't have nicked yours (certainly not the whole thing!)

lollylaughs · 19/09/2013 16:27

songbird, I know... I am totally deprived Sad An make-do Aero just doesn't do it....

I didn't even know you could get dark..................... Shock so ill start dieting now so that by Easter ill be able to have loads.

SongBirdsKeepSinging · 19/09/2013 16:35

Right dh returned and had with him a replacement Terry's and has also promised me a takeaway for tea even though he ate the Terry's to save me from putting weight on so I have decided not to LTB on this occasion. I have informed him that if this crime happens again I will kill him and feed him to the dog Grin

oh lolly those orangey aero's are so not the same Sad stock up at Easter, although if I did that I'd eat the lot pretty quickly. Can no one post you some?

One of them is Chocolate Oange!!ShockShockGrinGrin
It is FABGrinGrin
Tesco`s have it 1/2 price at the moWink

elinorbellowed · 19/09/2013 16:54

This will totally out me, but DP ate some millionaires shortbread that I had been given when I came out of hospital with DS1. I have never forgiven him.

Thurlow · 19/09/2013 16:55

The main thing I love about DP is that he doesn't eat chocolate.

It's bliss.

SongBirdsKeepSinging · 19/09/2013 17:02

oooo nat I need to get some of that! Shock Grin

I couldn't forgive that either elinor

thurlow where do you find a non chocolate eating dp? I may replace dh if necessary.

Just realised I've totally outed myself with this thread and dh knows he's now famous haha

Oh and I mistakenly gave dd2 (2yo) my replacement Terry's to hold while I went and made a brew, came back in and she'd got it out of the box,out of the wrapper, cracked it open and started munching her way through it! Can't even blame dh as he was upstairs the whole time! So it would appear I live in a house full of Terry's thieves think I need to invest in a lockable box!

Give your restored-DH a few bits of chocolate laced with a strong laxative, over a period of time.

He may well go off it.

SongBirdsKeepSinging · 19/09/2013 17:09

Grin love it

I know this is supposed to be a bit of a light-hearted thread, but some of us in another MN forum have been looking at a few of the AIBU threads recently, and there are some that make people feel uncomfortable.

Specifically, there are those that directly reference domestic violence, both in the thread title and in the body of discussion. Without trying to bring the mood down too much, does anyone think that treating DV in such a light-hearted and flippant manner actually adds to it's acceptance within society as just one of those things? Does anyone think that MN boards, with their predominantly women audience, have a bit of a social duty to try to bring about a sea-change in attitudes towards DV? Or do you think that women, as the oppressed group in society, have a bit more leeway with jokey stuff like this?

Sorry if I am bringing the mood down, but I'd like to hear some honest views. Thanks.

StanleyLambchop · 19/09/2013 21:28

Milk or dark chocolate? If dark then ok to kill. If milk, then nick all the money in his wallet and stock up tomorrow with more. And LTB. Even after he has been
killed. I may have had too much wine!

Snatchoo · 19/09/2013 21:28

Chotter

Referencing this thread? No, I do not think that it treats DV in a flippant manner at all.

If one of our male members said he wanted to kill his DW for eating his Chocolate Orange, I think he'd get exactly the same thread back at him.

And I would be livid if DH ate my chocolate orange - it's my favourite!

EllesAngel · 19/09/2013 21:32

OP please don't feed him to the dog Sad I'm sure the dog hasn't don't anything bad enough to deserve it Wink

SigmundFraude · 19/09/2013 21:56

Women can say whatever they want. Like this:

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2425018/Game-Of-Thrones-star-Richard-Madden-targetted-angry-women-taking-space-Tube.html

'Castrate him!': Game Of Thrones star Richard Madden targeted online by angry women for sitting on Tube with legs too far apart
Actor, 27, who plays Robb Stark in TV drama was seen on Bakerloo line
Image uploaded to Men Taking Up Too Much Space On The Train website
Even Jacqui Smith wades into row and criticises Madden's train etiquette.....

I wouldn't kill my DH for nicking my Terry's Orange, but I would voice serious displeasure if he snaffled my Graze shortbread with berry compote!

tshirtsuntan · 19/09/2013 22:33

Choccy oranges on 99p special in Morrison's- buy 50 of the sickly little bleeders and hide an all around the house...yum!

Sockywockydoodah · 19/09/2013 22:40

According to my DH, interested still racking up on some Christmas Fererro Rocher I pinched from him SIX years ago. At such a rate that it can never be paid off. Even though I buy him a box every Christmas.

:(

SongBirdsKeepSinging · 20/09/2013 07:27

chotter I certainly didn't mean to imply that DV is ok in any circumstance, it is a light hearted thread that my dh is aware of and has had a good giggle at. I'm very sorry if I have inadvertently caused any offence to anyone.

stanley it was a milk one, he replaced it and got me pizza hut for tea so I have forgiven him....this once Grin

socky that is awful, how could you bring yourself to eat them? yuck! However, I think your dh is milking it somewhat, I may need lessons from him incase my dh commits such a crime again Grin

Chotter · 20/09/2013 09:37

Songbird - and others - I owe you an explanation.

I was on the FWR board yesterday. There is a thread about a woman being offended because a man told two 'dumb blonde' on one mother-in-law joke to two of his friends. The offended women felt uncomfortable, and the thread expanded to a discussion whereby men use their privilege to tell cruel jokes to keep women subjugated. So one poster piped up that there were women on here light-heartedly discussing killing spouses. He asked if said women were offended by that? Someone replied that 'if you are so concerned, why don't you pipe up?'

So I did, and now I have probably spoiled what was a perfectly innocent chat between people with little thought of homicide. I apologise.

SongBirdsKeepSinging · 20/09/2013 10:02

Don't worry chotter you didn't spoil anything. I agree dv shouldn't be poked fun at, I just didn't realise that was what I had done, I will be more careful in future about the titles of my threads.

I wouldn't really kill him and feed him to the dog over a Terry's btw, I'll just LTB if it happens again Grin

No need to apologise at all. Have a pleasant day Smile
