It went down so well, daddy was outside with the kiddies, gardening. Noones any the wiser really and I did a cracking roast. I'm certainly more chilled than is normal for this time on a Sunday. What do you think?

I think a bottle is a lot!

fber · 08/09/2013 19:30

Well yes so do I, but is it unreasonable?

Can I come round and help you next Sunday, I think I love you x

spongebob13 · 08/09/2013 19:32

if its a one off and your not falling around the place drunk then yanbu. enjoy it.

MrsDoomsPatterson · 08/09/2013 19:32

If you don't feel crap tomorrow.

littlewhitebag · 08/09/2013 19:33

I suppose it depends how often you do this and whether you plan to have any more. The thing that strikes me is that you appear to have kept it a secret from your partner. I little worrying rather than unreasonable i think.

Snorbs · 08/09/2013 19:33

I think it depends on how often this happens. Once in a blue moon - fair enough. Regularly drinking whole bottles of wine by yourself - alcohol problem in the making.

Yonihadtoask · 08/09/2013 19:34

Meh..

Cooking is dull.

I often have a glass or two or more..

YANBU

MrsDavidBowie · 08/09/2013 19:35

I had a bottle last night at a party and have felt crap today.
However I have just had a small glass now.
But I won't be drinking again till Friday.

Madladyintheattic · 08/09/2013 19:35

A whole bottle, bet you're more chilled than normal, but if you think no one is the wiser then I'd be surprised.

MrsDoomsPatterson · 08/09/2013 19:36

And if nobody is the wiser, this definitely happens more often than it should.

Really can't stand the casual stance in drinking a whole bottle to oneself.

nkf · 08/09/2013 19:37

A bottle is a lot. A big glass yes, but a bottle.

McNewPants2013 · 08/09/2013 19:40

After a bottle I would be drunk.

Yanbu if its a rare thing

Doshusallie · 08/09/2013 19:40

I would feel like shit tomorrow after a bottle of wine. Like proper awful.

I regularly drink 1-2 glasses (most nights, or gin) but force myself to stop at that. Even then it affects my sleep and I am really trying to cut it down from that. Have had half a glass of red tonight for eg.

HairyGrotter · 08/09/2013 19:43

YANBU

A few weeks ago, I drunk a whole box of wine, but it's OK, I started at 9am and finished at 12:00am Wink

CiderBomb · 08/09/2013 19:44

I'd be unconscious by now if I'd drunk a whole bottle of wine to myself.

If its a one off the its not a problem but if you do it all the time then that's not healthy.

coco27 · 08/09/2013 19:46

If a whole bottle in that space of time made you feel no more than 'chilled', i think you drink way too much

Shutupanddrive · 08/09/2013 19:48

I can easily drink a whole bottle. If it was on an empty stomach I would be drunk but otherwise would be fine and no hangover the next day. YANBU

littlewhitebag · 08/09/2013 19:49

hairygrotter A whole 3 litre box? Starting at 9am? Do you have a problem with alcohol. That amount of wine would kill me i think.

AnastasiaGrey · 08/09/2013 19:51

YANBU, 1 glass easily leads to a bottle when cooking Sunday tea Wink

HairyGrotter · 08/09/2013 19:52

Nah, I've had a good 18 years of building up a good level of tolerance, oh and it was only 8% vol...

SmiteYouWithThunderbolts · 08/09/2013 19:52

I accidentally drank a whole bottle of wine on Friday night & felt fine. I don't normally drink so was rather surprised with myself!

Capitola · 08/09/2013 19:53

I love a drink, but I would have to go to sleep if I had a bottle to myself - and I would be shitfaced.

NorbertDentressangle · 08/09/2013 19:55

Blimey if I drank a bottle whilst cooking dinner would be a disaster or a non-event.

HandMini · 08/09/2013 19:56

A bottle over the course of cooking tea would have me shitfaced. Either you've drunk it in the space of an hour (and so are surely shizzled?) or you've just been nipping away all afternoon. Either of these are worrying. So, unless you're joking or it's a miniature, YABU.
