Attic.

Housesitting for dp work colleagues next week.
Collegue has said to dp 'definately don't go in the attic it will change your opinion of me' and dp relayed this to me.
[hmmm]

The only Thing I want now is to see in that attic.

AIBU and a nosey bitch or is she asking for snoops by declaring it out of bounds?

I think it's strange for them to say that, didn't think going in someone's attic is something that normally comes across your mind, so it's kinda odd to be told not to!!

I reckon it'll just be messy though Grin

If it turns out its just messy (like Monica's secret messy room in Friends) I'll be very disappointed.

Wandering, I watched what remains on itv player last Friday night on my own. On the Saturday I was downstairs when I heard a bang. It was the bloody hatch! It had came down. I wouldn't have been able to sleep if that had happened on the Friday night.

Well...the colleague told your DP not to go, not you, so I would say its open season for investugative talents.

That said, in all the years, I have never known anyone think that visiting attics was something people do when they house-sit, so methinks he was actually dropping a tempter. Its probably booby trapped with wasps nests.

How is the attic accessed?

If it's like ours-pull down a hatch & a ladder, I'd be thinking that no one would go to that effort just to snoop around, so why mention it?

Then we will have absolute disappointment when we find out that it is just full of junk and s/he is embarassed about the mess.
