A. Lot. Two words. Simples!

Maybe I'm a bit of a grammar and spelling Nazi. I know its easy to make errors on Facebook, forums etc. I don't continuously correct other peoples spelling and its easy to make errors when you are typing quickly. I usually post via my phone so am using a predictive text app that can sometimes make some howlers. But a lot is not difficult to get right. It's not long or complicated, and doesn't even need and kind of memory aide to remember (anyone recall one coffee two sugars, or big elephants can always understand small elephants). And SO MANY people seem to think it's one word??

Typo, that's all.

I went to a crap junior school in the early 1970's and I remember we were taught a lot was a word.

Only recently have I discovered it is two words . Don't be too harsh on me

slightly off topic but this is really annoying me-Disneyland Paris has been Disneyland Paris for about 15 years-stop calling it Eurodisney -it makes me cringe (not sure why?)

I have also had to explain the difference between complimentary and complementary to several people in my team at work who use them incorrectly - and lose and loose - argh! But I do acknowledge I am totally anal about spelling and grammar.

Oh, and principle and principal. Sigh.

After extensive research (OK, I googled it) it seems that simples are a form of healing herb, in the Arab herbalism world. Who know!

Simples also means simple in Portuguese. We use it a lot. Hold on, alot.
