To think that coconut water is beyond vile?

So expensive, but treated myself, Can't even swallow it with pinching my nose! What a waste as I generally love all those healthy drinks.

I love coconut water! But, I hate coke etc so it could be me that is unreasonable.

My dh mixes coconut water in with milk and puts it on cereal. Its beyond wrong

I love it. I've had it straight from the coconut a few times on holiday.

It's not a "health drink" faithless - it's just coconut water! From a plastic bottle rather than the coconut. I checked the ingredients list.

This is such a coincidence to find this thread. Bought some coconut water the other day for DD2 as a special treat as she LOVES coconut more than anything in the world (she's 7). she hated it. DD1 hated it. I tried it. Had to spit it out.

Coconut milk on the other hand is divine.

It's what they sell it as round here. I think it's the freshness that effects the taste. May be wrong though.

The best coconut water from green coconuts with the top skilfully lopped off and a straw popped in to drink it straight from the coconut, purchased on a road side in India.

Vita Coca is ok. Not lovely, but ok.

I love coconut milk. Never tried coconut water.

It's horrible stuff. I was bought some from a street vendor in my mum's home country. My uncle swore I would love it. I couldn't even pretend I liked it.

I love it, but only when it's the Vita stuff with pineapple. I first tried it at a festival after a heavy drinking sesh and it sorted me right out! Quenched that awful thirst and replaced the potassium etc.

I find it best ice cold, however, I only drink it when hungover as it's far too expensive!

The only way to drink coconut water is in Sri Lanka, the coconut is fresh from the tree and its top is sliced off in front of you. Generous slug of rum is an optional extra, depending on the relationship of the sun to the yardarm.
The real stuff, whilst being fairly calorific (rum excluded) is full of good stuff like potassium.

Got given some of this after a walk run I did recently. I was massively thirsty when I got to the end and felt pretty rough but still I couldn't drink that stuff!!

I absolutely love it.

I like it we use it on cereals too also love the almond and hazelnut milks yumyum.

Never ever tried coconut water. And nor will I after reading this!

The liquid that comes out of a coconut = lovely.
That coconut water in health shops, boots, etc = beyond vile. Have to agree with the semen reference made above, but tbh I prefer semen.
