AIBU?

To think that a 40 year old man should not be buying Lynx?

Grin

DH insists that it is nice. I beg to differ. Every morning when I go into the bathroom after him, I am literally eating the stuff. It's like walking into a teenage boy's bedroom.

I've suggested alternatives like a nice bit of Old Spice or Brut Wink but he insists that Lynx is the one. It IS the one. If you're 14 and ride a chicken chaser.

DS is 14 and says Lynx is naffola. Grin He wears Autograph by M&S. Wink

Oh it is rank, isn't it Daisy?! It lingers in the air hours after use. Grim.

My DP is 35 and still wears it. I've bought him Calvin Klein aftershave, etc but he still goes back to his lynx. I've given up!!

Ask Secondary School teachers what they think of Lynx. Grin

I don't think I'll even more like the smell of lynx Africa, reminds me of fumbles at the school disco!

Sparkling, what a delightful young man! Is your DS Roger Moore?

Oh it's vile. All the teens wear it. Choke choke, cough cough!

Inclined to agree with you.

My teen DSes use Lynx (some less than they should do in all honesty), and I've tried to get DH to switch to it on the grounds of a simple life to have one which fits all, so to speak. DH won't though, the rebel. He says it isn't strong enough and uses Sure for Men.

Grin No but maybe a future James Bond. We were in M&S and he got bored so mooched up to the men's section and came back with deodorant. Confused
Mum and Dad have just bought him some more for his birthday complete with matching shower gel. Grin

When DS1 used to wear Lynx he sprayed it in his bedroom and you could smell it in the living room. The ozone!!

Try living in my house. My DH and both DSes wear it. There is a permanent Lynx fog that hangs over the bathroom. It compliments the underlying odour of male wee nicely.

Sparkling does that make your DS the über king of cool, or a bit alternative?

Mine uses Adidas. He is 42.

What are they supposed to wear then?

It has always seemed odd to me that Lynx is a deodorant. I used it once many years ago after I ran out of regular deodorant and it made me arm pits moist and sweaty later on in the day. It did the exact opposite of what it was supposed to do.

Is not really a deodorant is it, its like an Impulse body spray but the man version.

Not sure Bowlers he wouldn't be seen dead in any clothing item M&S sell and I imagine the deodorant is aimed at a much higher age clientelle, but it smells really nice.

You have to make sure teenagers wear anti-perspirant deodorant not just deodorant. Wink

Anytime I get a whiff of Lynx it reminds me of jabby fingered, spotty faced teenage boys fumbling with the crotch poppers on my body top.

For me the female equivalent of Lynx is the Body Shop's White Musk.

I had to get ds to wear a proper deodorant and turn just use lynx as a 'Nice' smell.

Is Lynx the really super smelly men's deodorant? I have a couple of colleagues who use it, you can literally smell them as they enter the building.

Must say I prefer not to be overpowered by artificial perfumery. Same goes for female or male colleagues overdosing on perfume / aftershave / cologne.
