To keep farting on the cat?

Don't get me wrong, I am not pinning her down and doing it or anything. I am curled up on the sofa and she has got in the nook between my bum and knees. I have terrible wind. She did move but just to turn her back to me. Should I move her knowing it will probably not get any better soon, or just let her make her own choice?
I have got some dreamies which might ease her pain.

hahaha hoo hoo hooo haha

crazynanna · 06/04/2013 20:05

If I fart really loudly...my cat gets scared, with fluffy tail and bendy legs Blush

KC225 · 06/04/2013 20:08

She hasn't moved because you have gassed her. Forget the Dreamies, open the window and waft her some fresh air

TheFallenNinja · 06/04/2013 20:13

Only if your both pretending not to like the smell

KC225 · 06/04/2013 20:20

FallenNinja - it may be a Saturday night but there is no need to cross line. The cat has been nasally assaulted

SamuelWestsMistress · 06/04/2013 20:23

Cats love a meaty guff.

KC225 · 06/04/2013 20:28

Samuel: I'm surprised your fingers didn't lock in shock when you typed that in. No one knows if this cat is STILL ALIVE

Meerkatwhiskers · 06/04/2013 20:29

It's only fair to just empty the pouch of dreamies in there. She probably doesn't have the strength to move herself the poor thing.

BTW My cat does get a 30 second warning but chooses to ignore and then has the cheek to give me the death stare. Well I warned you bitch!!

LetMeAtTheWine · 06/04/2013 20:30

KC, I have just prodded her and she squeaked. She is alive, although possibly a little overcome with the smell to be able to move. I am too, however, and therefore unable to open a window.
I have decided IANBU, I think she likes it Smile

MeerKat: I know I'm going to regret asking this, but .... what does the 30 second warning entail?

KC225 · 06/04/2013 20:33

Yukkkkkk what is the matter with you people, farting on a cat is not an acceptable way to spend a Saturday evening

Jestrin · 06/04/2013 20:35

I have just inadvertently farted in my cats face.she is on the chair and went to pick up the tv remote. Apart from an odd look on her face I think she still loves me Grin

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 06/04/2013 20:35

Your cat squeaks? Did it squeak before you gassed it?

Jestrin · 06/04/2013 20:35
  • I went to pick up the remote....
LetMeAtTheWine · 06/04/2013 20:36

I don't do it every Saturday, it is just her lucky night I guess. I would also like to know what the 30 second warning involves.

Frustrated, I think it is maybe getting to her vocal chords a little. Nothing a drink of water won't sort out, if she makes it to the dish Blush

To the ladies farting on cat's read the following:-

Did you know that a cat's sense of smell is fourteen times stronger than a human's? That is because its total nasal organ is comparatively larger than that of a human. Cats depend on their sense of smell for their very survival; in fact it could be said that a cat's nose is its most important organ.

LetMeAtTheWine · 06/04/2013 20:42

Based on your last post, KC, I have decided she is obviously stupid to sit there if that is the case. I don't believe stupidity should be rewarded. The dreamies will NOT be issued.

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 06/04/2013 20:45

I don't think the dreamies would help tbh, if he nasel passages have been destroyed she'd never smell the delicious scent of dreamies.

Perhaps if you fart a few more times...

MrsBombastic · 06/04/2013 20:47

This really cheered me up.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!

meddie · 06/04/2013 20:50

my cat gets its own back. standing on the arm of the sofa turns its arse towards my face literally inches away and let out a hiih pitched squeak. the smell was the foulest thing I have ever smelled.

Bowlersarm · 06/04/2013 20:56

Why oh why do grown-up women post about farting on MN?

DMCWelshCakes · 06/04/2013 20:59

Our cat has absolutely no qualms about letting rip at us, so I wouldn't feel guilty about reciprocating.

Cat is currently not speaking to me as I laughed so hard at this thread that I woke him up.

It's been a bad night for cats. :)

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 06/04/2013 21:05

DMC I am slightly concerned that you cat talks to you.. Grin

KC225 · 06/04/2013 21:17

Bowler: She (farted) started it. I'm trying to protect the cats. In the words of the late Michael Jackson 'I'm a lover not a farter'
