I've-always- wanted a large number of people to answer this question./weird. Just don't know what's 'normal'.

Trim for me, wax is just annoying, shaving is itchy and scratchy and natural is apparently not socially acceptable :-\

All off....

If you think a shaved fufu looks pubescent after two child births and attached to a mid 40's body you need your head examining. Irrespective of my other half I've always kept it short or all off. If I want my bloke to choke on curly springs I'll direct him to the brillo pad under the sink

ComposHat sorry not meaning to be rude! It does my head in when people use the term vagina when that is patently not what they mean....how does these folk cope at the doctors?!! Mind boggles.

Winter. Leave alone.
Summer. Pluck spider legs with tweezers so nothing pokes out of swimwear.

Trim all over with clippers so its reasonably short, shave the edges if swimming. I have done all off before but I felt totally naked and don't like it.

I did insist on tidying and trimming when in labour before going to the hospital. On retrospect that was not neccessary.

I epilate underneath. The hair there is longer and straighter for some reason and kept catching. I have a lovely, neat, naturally heart shaped bush, it doesn't stick out of anything so I dont trim it.

I've done the whole wax/shave thing in the past, but it just wasn't for me.

As a natural blonde I like my hair down below and it's quite soft and fine. I only trim the longest ends.

Liking this thread. Makes me feel much more comfortable knowing that tastes vary so differently.

Shave.

Only because I have bald patches through my lady garden due to humongous stretch marks Blush

But if I had no Baldy bits I'd just trim.

Socially acceptable? Mine it's not a London attraction Grin

I am a lucky to not have hair problems. My hair, even if let to grow 'wild never shows outside the swimwear, so I don't even need to get a bikini line and they did not shave me for my c section as it was not needed.

I also never shave my legs, my leg hair is so fine it doesn't show.

Pluck eyebrows once a month. I am aware this is all lucky genes.

All off. Either wax or shave. It has nothing to do with me wanting to look like a child. I don't have ribbons in my hair or white frilly ankle socks or My Little Pony knickers. There is a massive difference between a child's bits and an adults and it ain't all down to hair.

If you must know, I just don't like it covered in hair. The hair has a distinctive pheromone smell if not scrubbed constantly, which is just a nuisance. I feel cleaner with none.

I wax everything off, except for a tiny "landing strip". I don't like the look of it completely bare so keep a little, although it is very short.

As far as I know, all of my friends do the same (hairless via various forms of removal). I would never sleep with someone, especially for the first time, knowing I wasn't "sorted" down there. My friends agree, we quite often joke about how being hairy is a natural sex repellent Smile "I'm going to his house...don't worry, I'm bushy so THAT'S never gonna happen!"

Comments from men our age suggest that they expect it to be this way. It is a pita sometimes, but I do prefer the look when it's neat, so will conform. To be fair, I've never encountered a man who didn't keep his bits trimmed or shaved either!

I'm 26.

Either leave or trim. But I have had it all off, I just think it looks weird. I'm 30.

Obviously everyone is subject to social pressure, but if a man is going to get icked out by pubes, I just take it as a good indicator of his status as a wanker. A bush is like a wanker detector.

I remember about 10 years ago, my flatmate burst into my room in a panic because she'd been trying to tidy up the sides and had got a bit carried away and shaved most of it off. She thought her boyfriend would think it was disgusting.

We were about 21 at the time. It's mad that society has changed so much in its taste in a decade.

Used to get it waxed at the beauty salon, and not that regularly at that because the beauticians were fairly brutal.

Undergoing laser treatment: one more session to go (the sixth) and really pleased with the results.

If in a relationship, then a bit of a trim and remove anything that would show outside knickers.
But single atm so totally feral... just hoping I dont have to suddenly be admitted to hospital.

Completely bald here - shave it all off. Don't like the idea of waxing it purely as you've to let some stubble grow first.

Does veet leave you completely smooth? A friend used it on her legs and said it left stubble so I've never bothered..

I think men who actually want-as opposed to not caring either way- a bald vagina are seriously strange, although I truly believe that how a woman arranges her pubic area is just a matter of taste and her choice. I get the arguments about cleanliness and practicality.

Report
crashdoll · 05/04/2013 13:39

I trim before or swim or otherwise, au naturel.

Shaving is itchy when it regrows. Waxing is expensive and an effort. Veet is rubbish and smelly.

I had laser treatment and its the best thing I ever did! I just have a small bit of hair left in the middle but had all the sides and top zapped off (contemplated having it all lasered off but then thought that might look a bit scary when I'm 80Confused)

I trim it every so often, I would wax but don't have a high pain thresh hold so would probably end up with a half wax half shave job :-/

I went to watch Trance at the pictures yesterday. there was a scene where Rosario Dawsons character goes into the bathroom & you hear the buzz of the electric shavet. She comes out naked & the camera focuses on her pubic area which has been almost shaved off. It seems to be the norm now to have a barely there look which for hygiene purposes is not a bad thing.

Wax here. Just had it done this aft (along with my moustache and beard -sad but true) Smile
