I got mastitus from sleeping in a bra, so I never do.

fanoftheinvisibleman · 01/03/2013 09:50

Having been inspired by these threads and havibg worn a 38B for years I recently went for a fitting in Debenhams. I came out with a Freya Bra in a 34 DD which fits really well.

However I asked for a fitting in m&s a few days later. They sent me off with a 34 DD too but it doesn't fit so well at all. It is moulded and gapes.

I now know what to look for to check myself but struggle to know what sizes to try. I am 33 under and 37 over.

StatisticallyChallenged · 01/03/2013 09:53

FanOfTheInvisibleMan, a 34DD is certainly within your range of sizes. In some bras you may well need a 32 - try an E

Thanks. I struggle to know what over sizes to try if a 34DD doesn't fit!

ta!

who makes Royce?

StatisticallyChallenged · 01/03/2013 10:00

fanoftheinvisibleman - until you get your confidence up, try a bra on back to front first. The band should be firm, and you should only be able to get a couple of fingers under it. Once you have the band right, it's a case of working through the cup sizes. If can be hard to tell at first if the back or band is wrong - so doing the band independently makes is easier

Haven't been to Llandudno for years. Faded seaside Victorian style?

Startail · 01/03/2013 10:41

Thank you, have put your suggestions into my phone for next trip.

Not sure I can bring my self to put my 38 B frame into a 34 F, but I'll try. It's rather a mental jump because I really don't have much norkage.

Dresses are too big on to, usually.

StrawberrytallCAKE · 01/03/2013 10:41

Oh my goodness if I am that would be amazing, I've been wearing 34b for around 10 years!

StatisticallyChallenged · 01/03/2013 10:43

Look at the info upthread about how to put on and test the fit of a bra Startail. The 34F is a starting point, but it should be fairly close.

Hello!
I´ve done the measurements ... can you please help?

32 under and 39 over

thank you SO much!

TheThickPlottens · 01/03/2013 10:49

I've been wearing 36B as prescribed by myself. I was brought up in a very prudish family so no talking about boobs or bras or periods, etc. I used to be too embarrassed to get measured properly so I just bought the same bra over and over. (Which was rare anyway.)

But I've grown up some and am more relaxed about my body so measured myself and came up with 36b.

Re-measured myself today after seeing the light from this thread. I'm 32 under and 37 over. Did I get it all wrong? I don't find my bra uncomfortable but the straps often fall down.

And what is this 4 boobs thing that's been mentioned?

SorrelForbes · 01/03/2013 10:50

HRH008 try a 32F

SorrelForbes · 01/03/2013 10:52

TheThickPlottens If your straps are falling down then it's almost definitely because the band you're wearing is too big.

I would suggest trying a 32DD. You will find it gives much more support, better lift and a good profile.

4 boob, otherwise known as quadraboob is where the cup is too small and the boobs spill over causing a 4 breast effect!

StatisticallyChallenged · 01/03/2013 10:54

TheThickPlottens - try a 32DD. Straps falling down is a classic sign that the back is probably too big for you.

4boobs is when you have a bump at the top of your bra which is often visible in a top
