Reeva Steenkamp is dead and the Sun still think it's acceptable to run pictures of her in sexy bikini poses.

Well, she was a model. Of shots just like that. It's how she made a living. What other shots would they use?

AKissIsNotAContract · 15/02/2013 03:28

As I don't want to in increase hits on the sun webpage I'll link to it here instead.

YANBU thinking that they shouldn't have printed the pictures, but YABU thinking that this is when they've hit an all time low. They clearly hit an all time low when they accused Liverpool supporters of causing the Hillsborough Disaster. And then their further made up accusations of what Liverpool fans did to the dead and dying well that IMO was an all time low.

differentnameforthis · 15/02/2013 04:05

really, the Sun, all time low?

They are so low, they can't get any lower! See halesball as for why!

GreenLeafTea · 15/02/2013 04:15

Wow, she was beautiful. Yes, The Sun is low. Nothing new there.

Boutdesouffle · 15/02/2013 04:26

YABU. What halesball said ^ that was an all time low.

FellatioNels0n · 15/02/2013 04:32

I agree. She was an extremely beautiful young woman with her clothes on too. It was not necessary to pick that photo, but I suppose you could really on the vile Sun to kill two birds with one stone couldn't you? Ironic pun intended.

FellatioNels0n · 15/02/2013 04:32

rely. Damned autocorrect

Isityouorme · 15/02/2013 06:34

It's the Sun ... What do you expect!!

meditrina · 15/02/2013 07:02

Sadly typical of the Sun.

But actually part of me is pleased when the victim is put at the centre of the story. For so much of the coverage is all about him, to the extent that a woman's death seems little more than a prop in his story.

RIP Reeva Steenkamp.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 15/02/2013 07:17

Sun is scum anyway

fluffyraggies · 15/02/2013 07:36

meditrina - "But actually part of me is pleased when the victim is put at the centre of the story."

I agree, but sadly i'm inclined to think that if the victim wasn't a model with plenty of bikini shots to choose from, The Sun's coverage of the story would have ben differently skewed.

shesariver · 15/02/2013 08:33

mushroom I have seen plenty pictures of her with clothes on actually. Just because that was her job doesnt mean they had to show her in a bikini.

What pics are the other papers using?

Mydelilah · 15/02/2013 10:13

YANBU to highlight that The Sun is disrespectful to women and generally a disgusting rag. It would BU to expect anything else from the Sun though, which is why I never read it Wink

Not surprised at this and let's face it the Sun prob isn't the only paper to do this. As for me yuk it's creepy .

ChairmanWow · 15/02/2013 10:40

God I hate that 'if it's popular than it must be right' argument. It doesn't justify the Sun as a disgusting, misogynistic, gossip-peddling rag.

It's hugely disrespectful to try and titillate readers with a photo of a murdered young woman in a bikini. But I agree with PP that the Hillsborough front page was by far and away their lowest point. Actually there's a common theme here isn't there - disrespecting the dead. And people continually buy this shit.

Nancy66 · 15/02/2013 10:43

she was a lingerie/bikini model.

If she was a teacher or nurse you might have a point.
