what it is about an audi that makes people drive like morons?

You're probably right. Used to drive an Audi and of course I'm lovely and polite but have now swapped to a very sensible passat estate - think it just wasn't in my genes Wink

Audi drivers.

Not all Aldi drivers are cunts but all cunts drive an Audi.

I feel the same about Apple computers.

Lol

Audi A4 driver here .... If you hog the central lane on the motorway I will make sure to overtake then majestically sweep to the slow lane.

I dunno what the truth of it is, it's got some amazing acceleration and like AnyFucker, left my neighbours standing, well wheel spinning, in the snow.

Report
AnyFucker · 14/02/2013 21:32

I don't drive my Audi around Aldi

I used to have an Audi convertible. I was still a nice sensible driver. Same as now when I drive a different non-Audi car.

I think people can be judged by the type of car they drive. But sometimes they might want to be.

I drive an audi and am not an idiot, nor drive like a knob.
That said, it's not really mine but belongs to dh, we just tend to swap a lot. Now, when I'm out in my 4x4 you should really see how ticked off people get Wink

'can you provide staistics for audi morons or are you basing it on one emotive programme?'

well no, but am basing my findings on driving up the A1 into london daily and the M25 most days. If you want I can do a formal study and maybe take photographs as evidence. The crimewatch tv show was just the nudge needed to post this thread.

What a ridiculous sweeping generalisation. DH and I both drive Audis. They are great family cars and we do not drive inconsiderately.

Hmm, massive sense of superiority then? Grin

DH is about to buy an Audi. I've been reading the comments out to him :o.

Obviously you're all very, very wrong. You could not be wronger.

Olympic, of course it's a generalisation! But having said that a large proportion of bad driving I see on the motorway I see at the moment is from Audi drivers!

I have a lovely new Audi and I don't drive up people's arses :)

"driving up people's arses at 90mph on the fast lane"

If they are up your arse at that speed then you are doing that speed too. Hmm

Also, if you're in the "fast lane" and not overtaking and there is no one in front of you, you should move over.

Obviously if you are overtaking with the intention of moving over as soon as is safe while obeying the speed limit YANBU, but a car doesn't make the driver, probably just coincidence.

Sadly from experience it is usually the Audi's that are up your arse on the motorway, swiftly followed by the BMW.

It is a generalisation yes and I know perfectly lovely people who drive both cars, but that does happen a lot on the motorway.....

So I think YANBU .

(Disclaimer, no offence intended to anyone).

YANBU. Audi's have taken over from the BMW set for crap driving.

Is there a test of crap driving before you drive an Audi? Wink

I always get cut up by Beemers and racer boys in their Golfs. Never had a problem with Audis, but will look out for them now.

only as it isn't safe to move over cortana as the middle lane are driving at a considerable less speed. the audi drivers seem to think an invisible middle lane will appear for you to move into! and no i don't use the fast lane to drive in all the time i use it to overtake. the audi drivers usually appear on the A1 after getting off the M25 i have noticed. wonder if they do know the speed limits of are european drivers.
