Its food isnt it? That makes it MY thing Grin

freddiefrog · 10/02/2013 20:32

48!

I've had 5 today, they're £1.30 for a box of 6 in the co-op, and I seem to have only 1 left.

I'm sure if I'd bought 48, they'd have had a battering by now as well. I can't leave chocolate alone, I don't crave it, but if I've got some I can't leave it alone.

Which cash and carry? please let it be Bookers, please let it be Bookers

benbobaggins · 10/02/2013 20:34

sorry Freddie it was Makro Grin

I would have thought if it was an eating disorder then she wouldn't have told anyone or bought them all in one go.

Anyway I now fancy a creme egg (or 2 or 6). I haven't got any in the house so I might have to eat an entire box of matchmakers instead.

PurpleStorm · 10/02/2013 20:35

That's a lot of creme eggs!

I think I'd be feeling very very ill if I'd attempted that...

ILoveOnionRings · 10/02/2013 20:45

Not a creme egg fan but I am one for smokey bacon crisps. I have read the thread and just kept thinking could I eat 48 bags of crisps in a weekend, could I, could I, could I if I really tried but sadly realised I couldn't.

I am most impressed with your accomplishment Grin

WorraLiberty · 10/02/2013 20:50

I know you said the thread was supposed to be light hearted OP, but if you're telling the truth, I can't find anything about it to smile about.

It's your life and your body but I just can't understand how/why anyone would want to eat treats like that.

bedmonster · 10/02/2013 20:51

Wow! Now I don't feel at all bad for eating one of those cadbury chicks!

Op, no amount of chocolate has ever made me feel sick either, although I thought eating 4 malteasers bunnies one day last week was quite a good record. So naive...

StuntGirl · 10/02/2013 20:54

My first thought was diabetes.

I'd be inclined to get checked out by a doc tbh.

benbobaggins · 10/02/2013 20:54

worra I can't understand why people smoke, I think eating this amount of chocolate in one hit is not going to do me any harm, I'm not overweight/obese, I eat healthily normally, I like them, saw them on offer, bought them and bloody ate them, where is the crime?

OP posts:
squeakytoy · 10/02/2013 20:56

OP, would you allow your children to do this? If not, why not?

Bearbehind · 10/02/2013 20:57

I really don't get this thread. The OP obviously thought this was clever otherwise she wouldn't have posted it, and most replies are congratulating her, yet a thread about someone who drinks 2 bottles of wine a week a few dys ago was met with horror from some quarters- bizarre!

blondefriend · 10/02/2013 20:58

For some reason it's ok to joke about how many drinks you had last night but not chocolate. God, I better not describe my oral intake over Christmas.

benbobaggins · 10/02/2013 20:58

squeaky yes I would, I'm teaching my son that no food is off limits, if he wanted to eat 48 of the things then I wouldn't stop him, but he's 3 so in answer no I wouldn't just yet but when he makes his own decisions about food then no I wouldn't stop him

OP posts:
benbobaggins · 10/02/2013 21:00

bear I think you've answered your own question there, 2 bottles a wine a week is shocking but 9000 calories in a weekend in not really that shocking

OP posts:
squeakytoy · 10/02/2013 21:01

Ok, well lets hope your child doesnt end up obese too in later life. Moderation is the key to healthy eating, not pigging out then starving yourself.

HecateWhoopass · 10/02/2013 21:01

If she was eating like this every week, I am sure the replies would have been different.

2 bottles of wine a week is not the same as a one off totally ott chocathon.

Regular over consumption of something is a different kettle of fish.

She was a little piggie on one weekend out of her life!

yellowbrickrd · 10/02/2013 21:02

Not a great advert for the 5:2 diet if this is what it drives you to.

Mrsrobertduvall · 10/02/2013 21:02

You wouldn't stop a child eating 48 creme eggs? [shock ]

Seriously benbo, do you really believe that drinking within the alcohol guidelines every week is worse for your health than eating 48 Creme eggs in as many hours??

benbobaggins · 10/02/2013 21:03

squeaky how many times? I weigh 10 and a half stone and am in size 10-12! As a matter of interest are you overweight?

OP posts:
OrangeLily · 10/02/2013 21:03

Ok so I understand that I could do this as I love creme eggs and have barely any self control around chocolate.

However Im also doing weightwatchers and know that one cream egg = 5 propoints.

So 48 eggs x 5 pp = 240 PP

I get 26 for all my meals in one day so that puts it in to perspective.

Far too much!

squeakytoy · 10/02/2013 21:03

oh for heavens sakes.. eating FORTY EIGHT creme eggs in 48 hours is not being a "little piggy".. it is just gross.
