I think posting in Chat would have got very much the same response - probably a bit less of the 'truly repulsive' stuff and more 'your poor system' but essentially the same. 48 creme eggs is too weird to just laff at and most people wouldn't have anything like an equal tale of bingeing to be able to join in with.

MyHeadWasInTheSandNowNot · 10/02/2013 23:14

And anybody laughing at that or encouraging you should feel ashamed that they could potentially be encouraging somebody with an actual binge purge eating disorder to go ahead and do it again

Err... no... we are listening to the OP when she says she doesn't have an eating disorder Hmm But no, of course, she must be lying

5;2 is not a Faddy Diet - it is sustainable and advisable - try doing some reading about it BTP, it isn't what it seems - ie their idea of fasting certainly isn't mine - it's simply eating 'light' 2 days a week.

fluffypillow · 10/02/2013 23:14

That's alot of creme eggs op Shock I admit to being a pig chocoholic, but christ...............48 creme eggs?

Didn't you have a massive sugar rush? If I eat a big bag of mini eggs I feel sick and slightly dizzy Grin (I obviously can't hold my chocolate!)

MyHeadWasInTheSandNowNot · 10/02/2013 23:15

BTP x-posted with you!

OP, for the jury, was it 48 or was it 40? Bit of a difference between 6800 and 8160 calories (although mfp says 150 calories)

Or was it 40 and it's now 48 because this thread is sending you to eat more? Grin

5:2 is sustainable and not a fad imo, I have followed this with no problem my binge chocfest was simply me buying something I happen to enjoy then eating it, they were cheap, I ate them and enjoyed them, I didn't devour them in front of my poor defenceless child, I don't have an eating disorder, I probably won't do this again but I've enjoyed them while I did Grin

"And anybody laughing at that or encouraging you should feel ashamed that they could potentially be encouraging somebody with an actual binge purge eating disorder to go ahead and do it again"

IM not sure who said this particular quote but I think the embarrassment should lie with people that genuinely think she has an eating disorder yet continued to call her greedy disgusting and similar stuff, because anyone that would say that to someone with an eating disorder is of course a massive knob.

I don't think anyone really really does though, just enjoying a bit of outrage on a Sunday evening.

benbobaggins · 10/02/2013 23:23

juney it was actually 41, I counted then after I got a flaming the ate 3 more Grin

So not 9000 calories as has been pasted all over this thread. I think you'll live this time Grin

PimpMyHippo · 10/02/2013 23:24

Well, that thread didn't turn out as I expected from the OP... Shock

Can I just say, as someone who actually does have an eating disorder (and not a socially-acceptable skinny one - a bingey fatty one!) that if I had posted this thread, the "disgusted repulsive binger" comments would have been far more spectacularly unhelpful than the "encouraging" ones, so those of you who seem to think you're doing the OP some kind of great favour by pointing out her greed... you're not. Angry

If everyone puts aside point-scoring and trying to prove themselves right for a moment and focuses on the actual impact of what they're saying, think of it like this: if the OP, as she says, doesn't have an ED, then you're just making yourselves look hysterical and judgemental by insisting she has. If she has got one, then you're making her feel a hundred times worse - when you're suffering with binge eating disorder, your own mind is constantly throwing words at you like "disgusting pig" "greedy cow" "repulsive" "fat" etc etc (which you try to silence by eating more, because no-one ever said ED's were logical Hmm) so having other people confirming those statements to you (even if they are true) just makes you want to die.

HTH.

BadgersNadgers · 10/02/2013 23:25

I've had one of my culinary genius ideas for you benbo.

You know how some people make an egg salad with egg and lettuce and tomatoes, maybe some olives and green beans, balsamic dressing, black pepper and perhaps some flatbread?

How about a creme egg salad of fruit and a chopped up creme egg and maybe some brioche or scotch pancakes?

PickledInAPearTree · 10/02/2013 23:25

So thats roughly 13 a day over three days, one per hour based on a 12 hour filthy egg orgy per day.

Or you probably just popped a few in now and again throughout the day.

I mean its LOADS but its not so much that I would be actually SHOCKED.

benbobaggins · 10/02/2013 23:29

hippo my thoughts exactly, I think it was the 3rd comment on this thread that mentioned eating disorders, I find that shocking and an a bit sad about it, I'm sorry you have an ed and it's been bandied about here because I dared to binge on some chocolate

OP posts:
NoelHeadbands · 10/02/2013 23:29

Pimp I never said (or thought) hat the OP does have an eating disorder.

I didn't post to 'do her a favour'

I'm not that bothered either way, I just answered her question. And I do find the thought of it repulsive

squeakytoy · 10/02/2013 23:32

Ahem.. I asked if the OP would allow her child to do the same as she has done? I did not say "I pity your child".

She said that she would let him make his own choices and would not stop him when he gets older, from eating to the same extent that she has.

I simply said that I hope he does not get obese.

Children do learn their eating habits from their parents in many ways. Thankfully I never saw either of my parents shovelling mountains of chocolate down themselves.

I think what people are asking squeaky is why you had to mention my child at all? what has he got to do with my eating habits?
