So I'm 45. DS 9, DD 6. DH and I found out on Christmas Day that I am pregnant, due late June. I am totally crapping myself now, DH is like a dog with two tails and I will admit that I am excited but after 2 years of trying for DC 3 we kind of gave up 3 years ago and accepted it wouldn't happen and now I am quite shocked. I am really happy, I think. I guess I'm just worred about how this will affect all of us really. So there you go.

Megatron · 27/12/2012 13:44

Thank you! DH is strutting about saying cringeworthy things like 'ha, there's life in the old boy yet'. He's so over the moon I just think it'll take a little time to get used to the idea.

Congratulations Grin

Long-term TTC is awful (still trying after 2.5 years) so you have every right to be doing cartwheels of joy.

Congratulations!

But due in June? You must be about 14 weeks, get on to your local midwives today and see if they are there to get booked in and get your scans booked etc - they should have someone working today (or at least picking up answering machine messages). Best you get that sorted ASAP! Did you not have any morning sickness or sore boobs or anything? You've got all the way through your first trimester without knowing????

(oh, and there's a June antenatel thread!)

Clary · 27/12/2012 13:49

How wonderful and what a lovely Christmas present!

The DC will be great with the new arrival I bet, my DD would have loved me to have had a new baby when she was that age (mine are all close together).

Best of luck for the next six months, hope it all goes well Xmas Grin

LOL @ yr DH

As the old boys got so much life in him he can look after you for the duration and will cope admirably with the sleepless nights Wink

That's lovely. Congratulations. Thanks Your DP and his "life in the old boy yet" comment made me grin like a loon. Here's to another two trimesters as uneventful as your first.

Fairylea · 27/12/2012 13:59

Aww that's lovely! Congratulations!

ZebraInHiding · 27/12/2012 14:00

Congratulations!

apostrophethesnowman · 27/12/2012 14:05

Aww congratulations - that's lovely news! I'm sure the shock will wear off. It's not uncommon to go into a mini-panic mode when you get a positive pregnancy test, no matter how much the baby's wanted!

I hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy.

Megatron · 27/12/2012 14:11

No symptoms at all Dontmind but didn't have any with other pregnancies either. I never had a days morning sickness in my life and I feel great! Missed two periods but again that's not been unusual for me over the last couple of years but spoke to midwife this morning and going to see her tomorrow. Think she was a bit surprised too! :)
