At least you got one ...

I slipped through the net somehow

SomeTiggyPudding · 21/12/2012 15:51

Depends how much you like tea. Are they particularly exotic teabags Or PG?

Well to be fair there were lots of staff off and the organisation went a bit pear shaped. Add a bit of crap labelling into the mix and I saw how it happened.

Never mind

< milks it>

MaryBS · 21/12/2012 16:01

The worst one I got was a clothes brush, when I have bad psoriasis :(

ChasedByBees · 21/12/2012 16:02

Just did a shopping google search:

www.google.co.uk/search?q=williamson+tea&hl=en&client=safari&tbo=u&source=univ&tbm=shop&sa=X&ei=rIfUUI31H-eM0wWxsoHQBg&ved=0CEsQrQQ&biw=480&bih=269

They are pricey! And if you like tea someone has thought about what you like. It's quite sweet. speaking as someone who gave tea as a gift this year, eek!

101handbags · 21/12/2012 16:02

Tea bags sounds too sensible for a secret santa present....

Salmotrutta · 21/12/2012 16:03

Oh now that really is awful mary - what a nasty person that must have been! Angry

TheKnightsWhoSayNi · 21/12/2012 16:06

They probably saw you drink a cup of tea in the office and realised when they drew your name that it was the only thing they knew about you.

Probably someone you always see in the tea room.

Well, I got a pack of beer and a box of chocs. I virtually never drink, though...

MrsFlibble · 21/12/2012 16:07

Mary that just sounds almost like a deliberate dig at you, clothes brush, how crap.

On a lighter night, i had to laugh at my mums secret santa gift. Bar of shop, with face one side, and fanny the other. Mum found it funny.

MrsFlibble · 21/12/2012 16:08

*Soap, i shouldnt type in the dark.

MadamFolly · 21/12/2012 16:12

Its naice Christmas tea!

cuteboots · 21/12/2012 16:14

theKnightsWhoSayNi- Ah now I know who it is then as it can only be one of the guys from the warehouse. As hes always waiting for the kettle to boil and we seem to be in the kitchen at the same time

101handbags-Exactly my thoughts

Marybs- How nasty some people can be aye

That was the sort of place I worked, unfortunately. I should imagine a couple of people thought it was funny. I hated working there though. I wasn't the only one, either you were part of the in clique or you weren't. And I wasn't. I just had to brush it off (get it? :o)

cuteboots · 21/12/2012 16:28

I know that one as its can be a bit like that here as well. Still not very nice and Im glad to hear you no longer work there anymore. There is a definite Clique here as well and I have no desire to be involved with that thank you.

I think posh tea bags is a nice present for someone who is a bit of a tea drinker Confused.
It can be really hard to buy for someone you only know as a work colleague ~ sounds like they put a bit of thought into that.

simplesusan · 21/12/2012 16:42

I think some people lack imagination.
I could think of worse things though.
At ours someone always buys cheese, regardless of whether thr recipient actually likes cheese!

HoHoHoMoreBaubles · 21/12/2012 16:49

if you drink lots of tea then maybe they assumed you would find this the most exciting gift to receive at xmas?Smile

I would have said a polite 'thanks' and regifted it to my nan put it in a cupboardXmas Wink

KenLeeeeeeeInnaSantaHat · 21/12/2012 16:51

I'd be chuffed with a tin of naice tea bags!
