I'm at charnock Richard services and I had to shut the door to let someone pass. Keys in centre console DS 21 months locked in car. Green flag keep saying they'll be 10 mins. I'm 8 months pregnant. Sat here in tears.

Police say all they'd do is smash window - not an option, too far from home.

Please help even if its hand holding. I'm in absolute bits. He's fallen asleep thankfully. Oh god I'm shit

Glad you're in and ok! Very easily done.

My mum accidentally locked me and my 2 kids in the car while she went into a shop once. Every time we moved we set off her loud, honking car alarm. She is slightly away with the fairies or she would surely have heard it from inside the coop. Longest what must have only been 10 mins of my life.

Glad all ok in the end!!

I did it once too! My son was 3 and just gone into a high booster so nursery and I encouraged him to climb out of his seat to unlock a door (central locking but buttons)...
He did climb out but was bit tangled in belt and could only lean over to the far side... then got distracted from his task, disappeared only to re-appear holding a shammy leather and start cleaning the window...

Once the window was clean he did let me in but OMG I had a bit of a moment

I shut the boot on my DS's fingers when he was about two and the keys were guess where, shut in the boot too. It all ended well and DS still has all his fingers. Luckily the seal on the boot wasn't what it should have been and DS had very flexible soft bones at the time!

I did it the very first time I ever went out in the car with my brand new baby ds. Blush. I thought it was a sign that I wasn't cut out to be a mum but 16 years later strapping and lovely ds is still in once piece. I didn't break him.
