picnicbasketcase · 14/09/2012 19:28

Bit rude

DorothyGherkins · 14/09/2012 19:29

How do stairs break?

TraineeBabyCatcher · 14/09/2012 19:29

I know how you feel.

My washing machine has broken, as has the bed base. My car is for sale and I'm having the pleasure of spending £35 for no interest what so ever. My last pair of jeans have just ripped. My benefits stop in a week and after that I don't get anything from uni for 3 weeks. So I'm screwed. Boo to money this month!

SheppySheepdog · 14/09/2012 19:30

Ahh, we all have times like this when it seems the gods are having a good laugh at us. It will all come out in the wash as my old dad says.

Do you claim for any benefits? Are the social fund any good at things like this?

TheGoldenKnid · 14/09/2012 19:30

First world problems? As opposed to all the third world problems normally posted on Mumsnet? Hmm

I hope things improve for you soon, OP. It sounds like you're having a rotten time.

IWishIWasSheRa · 14/09/2012 20:07

skylarsmammy - #firstworldproblems? A bit like your whole thread today about Facebook grammar?

Sorry to hear things are shit op

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 14/09/2012 20:10

op life's shit sometimes, it's even shitter when you think nothing else can go wrong and it does!

Hope things look up soon!

HecateHarshPants · 14/09/2012 20:10

What the hell is it with the 'first world problems' shit that keeps getting spouted these days.

Are we only allowed to say that we got chased by a lion on our 20 mile hike to get water?

Car repair, no washing machine, house falling to bits, stinky drains, no job, no money and bills you can't pay are fucking legitimate problems. Angry

skylarsmammy · 14/09/2012 20:12

Chill out. Jeez.

24Hours · 14/09/2012 20:12

Sorry to hear that Op. Its a drag, but the old MN saying is This too shall pass.
Do you want to slap me onenow? Areyou distracted? [Grin]

KeemaNaanAndCurryOn · 14/09/2012 20:12

#twatinaibuwho'dathought. Grin

Sounds crappy OP. Hope things brighten up for you soon.

YesIamYourSisterInLaw · 14/09/2012 20:12

Sorry i know i shouldn't have but this made me laugh
I'm also wondering how stairs break?

24Hours · 14/09/2012 20:14

Getting nettled skylar? Its only the internet dear, you're lucky to have it

HecateHarshPants · 14/09/2012 20:16

Jeez yourself. Posting spiteful little digs at someone who has a load of actual problems that are upsetting her.

Can you make any claims on your home insurance with regard to the broken items?

I hope things pick up for you, OP.

TeWiDoesTheHulaInHawaii · 14/09/2012 20:25

Can you report posters for being a wanker?

Just wondering.

TheGoldenKnid · 14/09/2012 20:25

The internet is for a bit of offloading and banter, not whingeing about things we all have to deal with every bloody day.

Well, we all have to deal with crappy spelling and grammar on Facebook everyday (at least those of us who are foolish enough to be on Facebook), yet you started an AIBU post whingeing about it! Or you could argue that the OP was just doing a bit of offloading about all the crap she has to deal with at the moment.

'The internet is for a bit of offloading and banter, not whingeing about things we all have to deal with every bloody day.'
What's the difference in off loading and whinging?
