Neighbers dog a danger

I live in flats on a estate in the next block there is a staff. if this dog is out with its owner and you go near it by near it i mean across the road. it goes mental barking and trying to get away from its owner. I dont think this is far for people who live here. and im sure staffs should not be so full of anger.

Right. Ok.

milky25 · 14/09/2012 14:37

the other day my children was playing out back and i heard the dog going mental made my heart go thought he had 1 of my children. also should he be doing his mess in the garden that we all share. His owner picks the mess up. but i dont think the dog should be walked in a place wich we all share and play in

He picks up after it?
He walks it.... On a lead?

I fail to see what the owner is doing wrong here?

TantrumsAndGoldAndOrange · 14/09/2012 14:40

He has a staffy blackberry. That's what he is doing wrong. :)

ShiirleyKnott · 14/09/2012 14:41

So, he walks it and it barks and he picks up it's shit?

Confused

Leave the Staffy owning bastard

DesperatelySeekingPomBears · 14/09/2012 14:42

Aww I'm disappointed. Did anyone else misread the thread title as "neighbours dog a dancer"?

ChickensHaveNoEyebrows · 14/09/2012 14:43

Bahahahaha! Shiirley is typing with her elbows again

TantrumsAndGoldAndOrange · 14/09/2012 14:43

Ah, that would have been interesting Grin

D0oinMeCleanin · 14/09/2012 14:43

How's he supposed to walk the dog if he can't take it through the garden to get out? Confused

I'm not sure I should bother answering the rest, because I am fairly certain there is something not quite right here, but in the interest of giving the benefit of doubt...

It could well be something as simple as boundary guarding. Lots of dogs do it, they're not dangerous. If the dog got away he is more likely to stand ground and bark at you than he is to charge and attack. Dog attacks are rare, which is why they make the headlines. If they happened as often as the Daily Fail would have us believe, no-one would bother reporting on it because it wouldn't be so newsworthy anymore.

If you are concerned call the local dog warden who will be able to pop out and advise the owner on how to train/control his dog better.

I am bit confused as to why you would allow your children to play out of sight when you are so convinced you are living close to a dangerous dog?

PunkInDublic · 14/09/2012 14:44

"I thought he had one of my children"

Leaps after Shiirley

BlackberryIce · 14/09/2012 14:45

I'm probably not allowed to say this, but milky25 welcome to mumsnet!!

Floralnomad · 14/09/2012 14:46

What exactly is your problem ,he sounds like a perfectly responsible owner . And by the way dogs bark to communicate not because they are dangerous.

PunkInDublic · 14/09/2012 14:46

Blackberry you seem to be acting as a one person welcome committee the last few days! Didn't you welcome our lovely WOHM basher the other day? Grin

TantrumsAndGoldAndOrange · 14/09/2012 14:47

I was also wondering why on earth a sensible person would let their children out of sight if they thought such a dangerous dog was on the loose?

BlackberryIce · 14/09/2012 14:48

Yes, I'm like a 'gamesmaker'... Shaking my pom poms, waving them all in,regardless! Grin

gordyslovesheep · 14/09/2012 14:50

does the dog have grey fur - will no one think of the children ...etc etc

PunkInDublic · 14/09/2012 14:50

Are you wearing a nice scarf and offering Pom Bears?

Tweasels · 14/09/2012 14:50

Maybe it needs counselling.

gordyslovesheep · 14/09/2012 14:50

does it roar like a T Rex?

gordyslovesheep · 14/09/2012 14:51

poor dog was probably dumped in dog nursery and raised by strangers - give it a cuddle
