To think Kate Middleton should have kept her tits in

Surely she can't be unaware that she's one of the most photographed women in the world and there are paparazzi everywhere.
I know in an ideal lovely world she should be able to skinny dip in privacy, but in the real world I think she is being a bit naiive to go topless and then be so upset when the pictures are published

I was topless on a beach this morni.ng The papers wouldn't be interested, but if someone had decided to take pictures I would have considered them rude fuckers who can fuck off.

Flatbread · 15/09/2012 14:08

I did my piece on righteous anger over invasion of privacy this week. I wrote a stern and angry note to a major newspaper for casting aspersions on the brother of the poor man who was killed in the French Alps. I thought that was really unfair and a gross invasion of his privacy and grief.

The do-nothing royals, on the other hand, can entertain me. They seem to be good for very little else, anyway.

Mintyy · 15/09/2012 14:10

Well my shit list has increased about 10-fold in the course of this thread. Am going to start a new page.

Yellowtip · 15/09/2012 14:11

I'd tell any of my DDs to keep their bikini top on if they were married to Will if they minded others seeing them topless because there are bound to be creeps with long lenses. Just check out the recent past I'd say, and take heed. I think my DDs are bright enough to get the point, though I can't imagine any would buy into the role in any event. If they did, once in role, I'd hope they'd be less supine and malleable than Kate M.

MyNeighbourIsStrange · 15/09/2012 14:14

So where is all the outrage at the invasion of privacy and grief regarding the Sharps and Carters?

SoleSource · 15/09/2012 14:15

Thete are morons smashing up buildings and killing people over Islam. It has never exisyed. Strange world.

MyNeighbourIsStrange · 15/09/2012 14:16

I told my dd's their whole life to not go topless.

donnie · 15/09/2012 14:26

BTW flatbread and Nancy66 - you sound like a couple of sad teenagers wanking over porn in your 13:53 and 13:54 posts.

Reading over this thread, I honestly do feel like there is no sense of moral compass here and that everything has a right to be bought, sold and haggled over, including someone's privacy. It is profoundly depressing.

Nancy66 · 15/09/2012 14:30

donnie - i give you my word that i have not masturbated over the pictures of Kate. Hope that brings you some comfort.

PuffPants · 15/09/2012 14:31

If it was my daughter, Maryz, I'd remind her to keep her top on at all times outdoors.....assuming she was a beautiful duchess whom unsavory people were vying to photograph naked.

It is absurd to stick with the viewpoint that because we want to do things and by rights should be able to do them, that we should carry on regardless. That's like saying you should encourage your daughter to roam around parks late at night by herself. Of course she should be able to do that, but you would encourage her to protect herself from those who might do her harm, wouldn't you?

I do feel sorry for Kate and I think it is despicable such photos exist. However, she could easily have prevented it and it wouldn't have spoiled her holiday.

donnie · 15/09/2012 14:34

as a self confessed journalist, Nancy66, your word means fuck all hun.

Nancy66 · 15/09/2012 14:35

yes, donnie, you're right.
Now excuse me while I go to set fire to an orphanage, microwave a baby and nail a kitten to a tree.

MyNeighbourIsStrange · 15/09/2012 14:36

The forum that linked to the pictures had Men and Women posting, most men's comments were thinks like she needs to put on weight and that she wasn't their type, very little of the comments some posters fear.

For the benefit of those that didn't see the pictures, they feature William and Kate rubbing sun cream on one another, both are toplesss and in shades, Kate has mad hair. These are far from porno pictures. The arse one could be misinterpreted.

Yellowtip · 15/09/2012 14:38

How much money are we as taxpayers spending on blowdrying that hair? I think it's a tax invasion.

MyNeighbourIsStrange · 15/09/2012 14:39

Three hundred pounds a day.

Lilylightfoot · 15/09/2012 14:42

I think Wills is trying to protect Kete in away he could not protec his Mum. this a a lot of bagage there. It was the French paparazzi that night when Dianna was killed.

Flatbread · 15/09/2012 14:45

Donnie, Lol. No, looked at them to see what the fuss was about. And then laughed. It is hard to buy into the image of Kate as some lofty ministering angel helping mankind, when you see her cavorting around with her naked bum in the air in a chateau in France.

P.S-What do they need all these holidays for anyway? If the monarchy stops clinging to the public purse like leeches (and they got an increase in public funding this year) I would happily avert my eyes if I saw an indecent photo, ok?

motherinferior · 15/09/2012 14:51

Oh, ffs, I am a 'self confessed journalist'. I am aware that on MN this puts me on a level with recidevist paedophiles, but continue to be amazed by this.

NoWayNoHow · 15/09/2012 15:40

Some people on this thread are worse examples of human kind than the crummy, stalker pap who took the pictures.

Please, continue your gleeful enjoyment of someone else's public embarrassment. Karma is a bitch - God forbid any of you are in the awful situation at any time soon when your daughter/sister/niece has photos of her breasts put online by her boyfriend for all the world to ogle and laugh and judge.

You won't get a stitch of sympathy on MN.

anonacfr · 15/09/2012 15:42

Just read that back in the day Diana was papped topless on a balcony in Spain. Difference is at the time the OK magazine editor bought and destroyed the shots to protect her privacy.

Who are we kidding? We're all voyeurs these days. We've seen the body of Heath Ledger wheeled out of his home on live TV, death pictures of Michael Jackson, Kristen Stewart and her married lover (also photographed from miles away) etc etc
The paps have a hit list because they know that the pictures will be published regardless of privacy laws.

I think it's naive to think that she would have got sympathy from the Palace though. Sadly for her she is bound to have got shit from them, specially as her 'Waity Katey' image had been radically changed since her wedding and the official tour was going so well.

Flatbread · 15/09/2012 16:11

Ha, had paid no attention to celeb twaddle before, and would gave no opinion on Kate, if she was not in my face everyday, when I am reading the newspaper. Seriously, Torygraph has an inane article with the royal pictures almost everyday. very irritating sychophantic stuff.

Regarding how the palace might see this, saw this and thought, ha, the Queen all least thinks Kate is a lazy do-nothing, while MN seems to think she is so wonderful, and works so 'hard'

Flatbread · 15/09/2012 16:15

Thought this excerpt was quite revealing...and if there is any truth in it at all, doubt there will be much sympathy by the Queen for the recent hooha

"As if it wasn?t bad enough to be called Waity Katie for eight years, poor Kate Middleton is now known in the royal inner circle as Duchess of Dolittle! Though Kate has appeared at dozens of charity events since marrying Prince William last April, that?s not good enough for Queen Elizabeth II, who?s been complaining of her ?laziness,? a royal source reveals.

Stuck at home while William is in the Falklands, Kate is under pressure to be more like Princess Diana.

A source says, ?The Queen maintains a full schedule of events,? and huffs that Kate isn?t doing the same.

Some of the other complaints?

?She doesn?t get out enough!? ? In less than a year, Kate has made 35 appearances at charity events, but that?s nothing to the Queen, who recalls Princess Diana?s superhuman efforts as a new royal ? 170 engagements in a year!

?She?s much too vain!? ? With all eyes on Kate ? and women all over Britain copying her famous hairstyle ? she is under tremendous pressure to look her best. Indeed, a royal source shares that she spends four to five hours getting her hair cut and styled.

?She spends too much money!? ? Kate caused a stir when she shoed up at a charity event carrying a $1,300 Mulberry bag, and often wears expensive clothes during her few charitable outings.

?She isn?t very bright.? During a viewing of her wedding dress at Buckingham Palace with the Queen, Kate raised royal eyebrows when she asked if priceless antique Faberge eggs were still being made. An uninformed statement for an art history major. Still, Kate will be the first queen to have graduated college!

Nancy66 · 15/09/2012 16:27

'the worst examples of human kind'

...yes it's right up there with the holocaust isn't it?

MyNeighbourIsStrange · 15/09/2012 16:29

Not sure if the Queen calls Kate Dutchess Do Little, she seems to like Kate, though I remember they like Fergie once.

lovebunny · 15/09/2012 16:44

regarding the young duchess and the tits out photo - well, if she's being funded by the state, she's ours, so i think we should see it all. everything.
and if she'd prefer dignity, she should act in a dignified way and keep her clothes on.
