I avoided it at the cinema because it sounded a bit worthy, but id no idea it was That Bad.

The Simpsons, tonight more plot in 5 minutes than the whole of Avatar.

Much better. Far more believeable plot, better direction and the cast don't have sex using their ponytails.

It certainly ain't the cinematography. Or acting. Or dialogue. Or even effects. Which look laboured, dated and clumsy.

As a film nerd I ask, what's the goddamn appeal?????

Even in 3D at the cinema with a few hundred sweaty nerds surrounding me, it was shit. The story is so trite and self-consciously worthy that no amount of amazing visual effects can make it any good.

Was so bored. The 10 minutes I spent in the toilets throwing up was a welcome relief (3D does not agree with me ).

Only if accompanied by lots of swooping camera-work! I got bad motion-sickness at Avatar, but Up (great) and Prometheus (deeply shit) were fine.

Yep, agreed. Everyone told me to go for the effects but ten minutes or so was enough to get the full effect. Utterly shite plot, embarrassing stereotypes instead of characters, and about 1.5 hours too long.

Yes it was shit. I HATED the look of it, the style of the creatures was all wrong and their teeth annoyed me.

I love this movie yes they prob could have done a little more with the dialogue but I think they wanted even morons who think movies such as Bridesmaids are excellent,could actually grasp what was happening. If you wish to talk no script,atrocious acting and basically a waste of money and time suggest you look there.

Had to turn off after just about 1/2 hour awful movie made me consider giving up watching movies in fear of all the good script writers being dead or suffering writers block
