I don't really enjoy correcting spelling errors but I've seen this one so much on MN recently that I typed out a text to my DH this morning and wrote "rediculous" instead of "ridiculous". It's worked it's way into my written vernacular.

RIDICULOUS, people, RIDICULOUS.

Thangeweverymuch love you mwahmwah xxx

puds11 · 12/07/2012 11:48

cheeky your speach is impecable, dont know what your worrying for.

squeakytoy · 12/07/2012 11:48

affect - effect..

If you poked yourself in the eye, it would AFFECT your vision

If you poked yourself in the eye, it would have the EFFECT of AFFECTING your vision.

Does that example help? :)

The one word on here that pisses me off is "vair" instead of very, just type very ffs.. and dont look like a MN version of Del Boy doing his french...

bragmatic · 12/07/2012 11:48

Badtime I remember that you lose the extra 'o' in 'lose'

SoleSource · 12/07/2012 11:49

Horrid Hooray Henry

Buttwart · 12/07/2012 11:49

WHY? Oh the humanity

WorraLiberty · 12/07/2012 11:49

OMG that's so spooky OP! Shock

Yesterday I read someone saying they had to 'lose' weight and straight away I thought, "That's a typo, she means 'loose'"

Then I realised what I'd thought and immediately wanted to shoot myself so yes, these commonly miss spelt words do get under your skin Grin

TigerFeet · 12/07/2012 11:51
