What or who are you talking about?

StealthPolarBear · 07/07/2012 16:35

yes, I can't say I've taken to it

StealthPolarBear · 07/07/2012 16:37

there are some programmed on CBeebies (not sure that this is one of them, as have only caught small glimpses of it really) that seem to be trying too hard to be old fashioned and appeal to the parents who watched kids' TV in the 70s and 80s

cheekypickle · 07/07/2012 16:38

I agree stealthpolarbear

The 'pot pots' are like the clangers

My 3yo loves it (is sat watching it on iPlayer now!)

I think it's good that they're trying to do a mix of show styles.

Dolallytats · 07/07/2012 16:59

We love Abney and Teal in this house!! Wasn't sure when it first started, but it grew on us and is now a firm favourite.....now if only they would stop showing In The Night Garden, that really is awful!!

cheekypickle · 07/07/2012 17:09

In the night garden is terrible!

YABVU

an excuse to make farty noises? winner everytime Grin

VolAuVent · 07/07/2012 17:14

I don't like it either. It's too try-hard and not particularly warm or engaging.

Petsinmypudenda · 07/07/2012 17:15

I dont like it but my toddler loves the little turnip thing

Happenstance · 07/07/2012 17:51

i love it, so do the DD's, better than the flaming Rhyme Rocket anyway, god i hate that programme.

NadiaPopov · 07/07/2012 17:52

I like it.

Mrsjay · 07/07/2012 17:52

ah i Have no under 5s i thought you had gone loopy and just saying random words Grin

Pascha · 07/07/2012 17:54

I hate it too but the Boy thinks its great.

TheLaminator · 07/07/2012 17:55

We like A&T here. they remind me of friends of mine :) The Neep thing is a PITA though, eating all the porridge, tut.

JarethTheGoblinKing · 07/07/2012 17:56

I like the poc-pocs. They look like punctuation.

The episode where the find an old radio is the best one. Has DS in giggling fits for the whole episode Grin

You're all miseries :)

Wink
newtonupontheheath · 07/07/2012 17:57

We like it..,. DS likes "neeeeeeeeep"

Grin
GhouliaYelps · 07/07/2012 18:00

Is wonderful!

Kveta · 07/07/2012 18:00

don't like it here either. and caught a few minutes of the Rhyme Rocket the other day - frighteningly awful.

not impressed with cbeebies at the moment, DS much prefers milkshake thankfully!

Magneto · 07/07/2012 18:04

Ds is in love with the poc pocs. He thinks they're mice and squeaks his little head off throughout the show.

There isn't really much I don't like on cbeebies with the exception of Kerwhizz, Rhyme Rocket and Charlie and Lola.

KittyFane1 · 07/07/2012 18:15

I bet a 20 something media graduate has made it, grew up in the '90s and thinks that the '70s style is cool. Trying too hard as IMHO abney and teal (pretentious name) is rubbish.
I think that the reason why some '70s children's programmes are still good in a way is because they were completely innovative at the time - nothing like that had been done before.

BBisHavingAnotherBBaby · 07/07/2012 18:18

Its by the same person who did Teletubbies and ITNG. I quite like it!

BBisHavingAnotherBBaby · 07/07/2012 18:19

Also yes to Radio episode in our house, DS goes adorably loopy over it! Closely followed by the handbag episode Grin

ZebraLeg · 07/07/2012 18:19

It confuses me that the Teal isn't actually the blue one
