I think this rain is God's way of telling me to stay in and watch a good film and pamper myself today? Hmm

Whitamakafullo · 07/07/2012 11:57

I love heavy rain, there is something comforting and cosy about being inside and looking out at it.

Glad I'm not at T in the Park mind Wink

beatofthedrum · 07/07/2012 12:00

Or in a caravan with two under-fives....(we have already done rainy sandcastles, rainy puddle-splashing, rainy park visit...)

Mrsjay · 07/07/2012 12:01

{{{hugs}} for beatofthedrum

Mrsjay · 07/07/2012 12:01

mummynoseynora · 07/07/2012 12:04

I will be shortly off to a BBQ in the rain ... And DD is watching Polar Express... Bloody shocking weather

MorrisZapp · 07/07/2012 12:06

Aye, I loved being all cosy last night listening to the lashing rain.

Also, I have listed a stack of stuff on eBay, and all the bored housewives are watching my items!

It's good for business!

(well it would be if I didn't watch a whole load of stuff myself)

Angelico · 07/07/2012 12:11

One day of rain = YANBU.

But try living in frigging Ireland... YABVVVVU! :o

dementedma · 07/07/2012 13:06

live 5 miles from T in the Park and we had monsoon weather this morning. Am sick to the back teeth of this pissing, endless rain! Garden like a jungle, wet washing all over the house......its is the shittiest so called summer EVER

MammaTJ · 07/07/2012 13:55

I am enjoying it, because it means my twatty neighbours are not outside banging a ball against my house all the time!! Grin

YouOldSlag · 07/07/2012 13:57

YABU . I think this rain is God's way of telling me to stay in and watch a good film and pamper myself today?- yes to this for a few days, but it's been FOUR BLOODY MONTHS.

Everyone I know is miserable and I am sick of the sight of my house and want to be in the park with my kids or having picnics. I do not want this anymore.

I live in Wales, so don't mind the rain, but this is bloody ridiculous.

helenthemadex · 07/07/2012 14:02

no rain here blue sky and sun Grin

YouOldSlag · 07/07/2012 14:10

That's quite enough of that helen!

TequilaMockinBird · 07/07/2012 14:27

YouOldSlag · 07/07/2012 14:27

Right- no gloaters! stop it! the lot of you! it's not fair!

PoppyWearer · 07/07/2012 14:31

YANBU. I LIKE THE RAIN TOO.

(We're doing reverse psychology, right OP?)

Bestb411pm · 07/07/2012 14:42

Bet you've got a tumble dryer. Envy

helenthemadex · 07/07/2012 15:29

sunny & warm France YouOldSlag with washing drying on the line and tea and mumsnet in the garden Grin but Im due back to the UK for a holiday next week, will try and bring the sun with me

qo · 07/07/2012 15:31

I'm loving the weather.

I'm suffering from depression at the moment and don't want to go out. I'm glad the weather is forcing me to stay home instead of somehow feeling like i'm "missing out" which I would if it was lovely summer weather

TequilaMockinBird · 07/07/2012 15:34

I'm in the UK with my sunshine Wink

Oop north. It's not often we can gloat about nice weather so I'm making the most of it Grin

FiftyShadesofViper · 07/07/2012 15:36

Fylde coast has lovely sunshine today. It's rare you can say you'd be better off going to Blackpool but today it's true!
