To be REALLY bored by the Beckhams

It's been in the news today about the musical about the Spice Girls. Not a fan, never been one, but whichever media I look at has the Beckhams in on a daily basis. David with his squeaky voice and not that many brains and Victoria SMILE WOMAN ffs with her designs for lollipops.
I can't deny they're a successful brand and they're obviously mulit-millionaires but sorry, THEY JUST DON'T DESERVE IT! Posh is talentless and her PR needs some serious looking at as all her images have one expression only.
It's all so tedious and shallow. Am I alone in this?!

For a supposedly 'talentless' couple they've done pretty well for themselves though...

And David, obviously is a pretty good footballer which I'd argue means he IS talented. It's questionable how involved Victoria is with her clothes range given that she's so heavily influenced by Roland Mouret but I actually like a lot of 'her' designs and would buy them if I was skinny enough had enough disposable income.

They also seem like a nice family - in love and good parents.

I don't want to like her. I don't like the incessant contortionist style posing, pathetic 'I must not smile' rule, and promotion of super skinnyness.

But I can't help myself. 13 years married is a lifetime in sleb terms, and they seem like good parents. There's worse folk out there. I think she has a very wry sense of humour and I wish she'd let her guard down a bit. No-one would actually care of she put on a few pounds, she is a mother of 4 in her late 30s, not a supermodel or teen idol.

They seem like a nice family and I still fancy David but they are in the press like all the time so I can see why they bore people.

i am not their greatest fans either but i do believe that VB is a MNer so please be a little kinder. Personal insults are a breach of MN talk guidelines

In love and good parents, yes, all positive. That David was/is a good footballer, yes that too.
But I stand by my post (for a bit longer anyway)

he's wc lad from Essex
she's mc prosperous
both work hard in their respective fields

Am sure they are nice enough, the thing that bugs me is thier desparation for the limelight. They don't want to live in relative privacy they court it. Its just so trashy.

So maybe the media and the choice of pictures is so blame? And for the overload?
Somehow, I think they'd be able to manipulate it a little better (PR) given theor wealth and status then

unlike other schlebs they are quite circumspect about family

I think they do have a choice; without press they would not be able to endorse all their products such as his and hers fragrances, pants, clothes etc.

considering the plethora of trashy schlebs to be annoyed at,I'm not sure why beckhams annoy you so. still I know we all have this folks whose mere being annoys

She's made a good job of her fashion line. So many people scoffed at her when she announced that was what she wanted to do and she's turned that right round into a line that's critically acclaimed. Fair focks.

She's not a good singer, but she's talented with clothes, is a wonderful Mom and is lovely.

I'd love to have a coffee with her.

I always feel quite sorry for David Beckham. Don't ask me why!! I quite like him though. Don't like Victoria very much.

Do you really think Beckham's got to where he is without many brains? He might not have been good in the classroom in school, but surely to god he's made up for it since!

As for VB - I love to think of her in Style and Beauty. She is so pretty when she's natural and laughing - usually when she's with DB. I don't think she's haughty - I think that's just her way of protecting herself in public.

Awww come on OP - there really are way way worse people out there. Way worse. If you're bored of them/don't like them well - ummm - just skip the articles. I personally think VB is great - she really does have a terrific sense of humour when she lets the guard down. I guess in her world she HAS to be guarded no? As others have said there's no doubt at all that they're great parents and you don't see them being arrested for drugs or shoplifting. Leave 'em alone!
