To be REALLY bored by the Beckhams

It's been in the news today about the musical about the Spice Girls. Not a fan, never been one, but whichever media I look at has the Beckhams in on a daily basis. David with his squeaky voice and not that many brains and Victoria SMILE WOMAN ffs with her designs for lollipops.
I can't deny they're a successful brand and they're obviously mulit-millionaires but sorry, THEY JUST DON'T DESERVE IT! Posh is talentless and her PR needs some serious looking at as all her images have one expression only.
It's all so tedious and shallow. Am I alone in this?!

YANBU. They're so boring, aren't they? He's a talented footballer, obviously, but I'm not interested in football, and outside football he has nothing of interest to say for himself. (This is true of most sports people, though.) She is dull, in both senses of the word.

But they're just more examples of the media's apparently insatiable obsession with vacuous celebrity. Don't get me started on Kim Kardashian. I don't even know who she is, I don't want to know who she is, and yet she seems to be everywhere.

Laurie - there are very few pictures of her smiling. I'm sure she does privately but she doesn't in public....she is one of the few people that doesn't look very nice when she smiles and she's vain - so she doesn't do it when she's likely to be pictured

They do court the media. They have to to plug the million and one things that they advertise/sell. There are plenty of "A list"slebs that manage to stay out of the papers/mags.

I like the Beckhams and think they've worked hard to get where they are.
I don't think it's fair to compare them to the likes of Kim Kardashian - she is infamous for no apparent reason. DB is a well known footballer and VB was in one of the most successful girl groups ever and now has a successful fashion business.
Courting publicity is part of their job but maybe it's part of the job VB doesn't particularly like? I know there are parts of my job I don't like that don't make me smile.

Loving this last quote... Fair play. Ideas are more important of course, but sometimes ones genius mind needs to have a little break and be curious about people and people's views doesn't it?!
Interesting views on here. I'm still none the wiser about their talents or their appeal but it's interesting to hear what people think.
