to think that David Cameron is an utter, utter twat

Ok, full disclosure, I'm a (c/C)onservative.

That said, David Cameron is so utterly fucking ghastly.

Just listening to the news and he was refuting claims by Gordon Brown that a deal had been done with News International. Cameron said something like 'He's just saying that because he's jealous that the Sun deserted him', and there was just something about his tone that made me think 'you are a twat'

And it's not because he's posh, I don't have a problem with posh politicians, it's the Ruperts I don't like.

No better than Blair.

Any of their past leaders would be better.

Its all very schoolyard isn't it?

robotCS · 14/06/2012 17:08

although DC wouldn't have had a school yard I'm sure

ownworstenemy · 14/06/2012 17:09

Not even read the OP
YANBU.

Poulay · 14/06/2012 17:10

I don't know about that. I'm sure he has gone to great trouble to send his kids to a state school in Notting Hill. Just to show that he is 'wiv it'. TBH I'd rather he packed them off to Eton, much more genuine.

Was DC in the army? Not sure how the term Rupert is relevant here.

Think the Leveson Inquiry is making alot of politicians look bad tbh, not just Cameron.

Noqontrol · 14/06/2012 17:11

He's a twat.

Poulay · 14/06/2012 17:13

Well I quite like the term Rupert. I knew one (actually called Rupert). He had gone off to Haavaaad to get his MBA and then went in to do a Management Buyout. I think DC has a sort of Rupert work history, he was supposed to have been recommened by the Queen's secretary or some such?

scarlettsmummy2 · 14/06/2012 17:15

I like him, it isn't his fault that he is posh! And why is the fact he is posh a bad thing??

kitsonkittykat · 14/06/2012 17:18

Total twat who can't even keep track of his own daughter. Being posh has nothing to do with his twattishness.

Poulay · 14/06/2012 17:18

It's not a bad thing. I like Boris for example. The Queen is posh. But she doesn't pretend that she's not.

OP posts:
MrsTerryPratchett · 14/06/2012 17:19

The posh thing is only relevant because he is like a MC Social Worker trying to be down with the kids.

Nancy66 · 14/06/2012 17:20

yeah, but he's got lovely soft skin....

scarlettsmummy2 · 14/06/2012 17:22

In what ways does he try to disguise his poshness? I am not sure he does, but maybe he feels that he has too as so many people are anti-posh!

Poulay · 14/06/2012 17:22

Posh people don't all come across like smug cunts, as Cameron does. He's like a school boy who has had a course of elocution lessons and think that makes him superior.

You wouldn't get that from Boris, or Tony Benn, etc.

OP posts:
yellowraincoat · 14/06/2012 17:23

I couldn't care less that he's posh, it's that he's posh and only gives a rat's arse about keeping other posh people posh.

Utter twat, everything about him is grim.

MrsTerryPratchett · 14/06/2012 17:25

Tony Benn is a great example of posh and proud and not a smug cunt.

PandaWatch · 14/06/2012 17:28

Have you formed this opinion on the basis that GB is telling the truth? If so, YABU.

PandaWatch · 14/06/2012 17:29

Nancy the best description I heard of him was that he looks like a face drawn on a balloon! How does one become so shiny... Confused

scarlettsmummy2 · 14/06/2012 17:30

In what ways does he 'keep other posh people posh'? And again, unless this is to the detriment of others why does it matter?

Poulay · 14/06/2012 17:30

Everything he does is calculated and phony. Nothing is genuine.

He was in favour of section 28 but then changed his mind. Now he says gay marriages are the way forward.

He claims to be a Christian but only in the most wishy-washy possible terms.

He quite rightly wanted to put tax on pasties, just the same as other hot takeaway food, but then when the media made enough noise, changed his mind.

No conviction at all, only cold calculating greed for power.

OP posts:
LentillyFart · 14/06/2012 17:31

Tony Benn is most frightfully smug though - and is there anything worse than radical and smug? I think not.

The trouble with Cameron is that he's totally lacking the likeability factor. This has nothing to do with his politics and everything to do with he's just not likeable. He can't help that but maybe he could work on it.

yellowraincoat · 14/06/2012 17:31

scarlettsmummy2 He's doing wonders for social equality then, is he? Loads and loads of help for people on benefits, the disabled and so on.

Obviously it's to the detriment of others but since you are clearly not a fan of the poor, I can't really be arsed explaining my world view to you.

RubyFakeNails · 14/06/2012 17:32

YANBU

I do actually care that he is posh, wealthy and entitled.

He is clearly out of touch with the realities of many peoples lives, as his desperate attempts to be 'wiv it' clearly highlight.

I don't think he really has any ideological political agendas, but falls back on those he was raised with. He has very little conviction, he just manages expectations. All he wants is to be in power.

Although to be fair I think I'm suspicious of anybody who wants to run the country. It does scream power crazy.

Oh and don't get me started on that fucking George Osbourne or in fact Nick Clegg.

They are all such bellends!

SauvignonBlanche · 14/06/2012 17:33

YANBU at all OP.

scarlettsmummy2 · 14/06/2012 17:34

Yellow- I am not talking about what he is doing for the poor, I am asking what he is doing that shows favouritism to the well off??
