to think that David Cameron is an utter, utter twat

Ok, full disclosure, I'm a (c/C)onservative.

That said, David Cameron is so utterly fucking ghastly.

Just listening to the news and he was refuting claims by Gordon Brown that a deal had been done with News International. Cameron said something like 'He's just saying that because he's jealous that the Sun deserted him', and there was just something about his tone that made me think 'you are a twat'

And it's not because he's posh, I don't have a problem with posh politicians, it's the Ruperts I don't like.

No better than Blair.

Any of their past leaders would be better.

OP posts:
SparklyRedShoes · 14/06/2012 18:50

I never ever thought I would say this as I can't stand the woman but, bring back Margaret Thatcher and others of her ilk. At least they stood for something. At least parties were distinct then. Can't tell who is who now, and they all lack basic principle.

CelstialNavigation · 14/06/2012 20:13

I find it incredibly depressing that the man is PM.

KalSkirata · 14/06/2012 20:19

Given his appalling memory and how he cant remember any meetings maybe he should be running the country. He spent all today saying 'I cant remember...'

KalSkirata · 14/06/2012 20:19

shouldnt

mooliebear · 14/06/2012 20:33

I can't stand him, comes across as totally untrustworthy, slimy, creepy, he has a dodgy mouth, what is it with his lips? I hate it when he rolls up his sleeves on his shirt, like he's really getting stuck in...pompous prick.

"at least Blair didn't target the disabled."

No, he targeted Bagdad instead.

Arse-holes the two of them.

amothersplaceisinthewrong · 14/06/2012 21:01

To me he has no gravitas, no air of a statesman. I think that politicians become PM at too young an age these days, but that could be me getting old!

DC is so smarmy though, OF course in real life he might be very nice, but he does not come accross well in the media.

ComposHat · 14/06/2012 21:01

David Cameron is a Twat...has it really taken you this long to figure it out. I had the fucker figured from the start.

YABU for being a Tory too. The only two Tories I like are Douglas Hurd and Marriedinwhite

BananaGio · 14/06/2012 21:02

Totally agree and am getting so pissed off with these people patronising us and "choosing" not to remember. The only person I have believed and trusted so far is John Major and if anyone had told me that I would have said that back in the early 90's I would have laughed in derision.
Can't bear DC's pink, smooth, shinyness. Or his patronising voice. And keep your sodding hands still dickhead! Whoever it was who decided back in the 90's that our politicians should start communicating with hands needs shooting. Rare a Brit looks comfortable doing it. Deal with it!
Also hate his politics and what he is doing as PM....fuck off to a life of country suppers
Oh and now Gideon is speaking at Mansion House and he too has a shiny forehead - is it a pre-requisition along with the right school tie?
Angry

ComposHat · 14/06/2012 21:20

Can't bear DC's pink, smooth, shinyness.

I've noticed the more bollocksed the economy gets, the smoother and plumper Osborn and Cameron get.

It is like a big fuck you to the poor.

ShellyBoobs · 14/06/2012 21:21

The only thing good about DC is that he's less of an arse than the Milliband and his bunch of wankers shadow cabinet.

drjohnsonscat · 14/06/2012 21:24

As the OP suggests, it's that tone that he can't quite keep under wraps. All that "call me Dave" is fine but watch him at PMQs and he shows his true colours. Dreadful. People don't have a good word for George Osbourne but I find him much less vomitous than DC.

ApocalypseCheeseToastie · 14/06/2012 21:25

He's more of a penis than a twat IMO.......have you seen his forehead lately ??

BananaGio · 14/06/2012 21:26

I've noticed the more bollocksed the economy gets, the smoother and plumper Osborn and Cameron get.
and the more self satisfied and smug they look. I swear if I hear the phrase "the mess the last Government left us with" one more time it is going to tip me over the edge! And will be next seen attempting to tattoo "it's a world wide fucking crisis" over their shiny plump foreheads!

TheMysteryCat · 14/06/2012 21:28

scarlettsmummy i'll venture an answer or two...

he and osborne (also a total knob) lowered corporation tax, lowered the 50p tax rate, are currently privatising any service they can get away with (awarding contracts to private companies run by their mates), trying desperately (and somewhat failing presently) to keep the "posh" papers on their side - Telegraph, FT.

The Telegraph in particular seem to loathe Cameron for his lack of conviction, randomness and crowdpleasing.

drjohnsonscat · 14/06/2012 21:28

Here's what's at the heart of why I hate DC:

"I am for gay marriage not in spite of being a Conservative. I am for gay marriage because I am a Conservative". Remind me what year you joined the Tories, Dave? Somewhere around 1987 was it? At the very height of the Tories Section 28 vileness when your party was actively campaigning against openness around sexuality, let alone agreeing to let the weirdos get married.

For all his caring Conservatism, he joined that conservative party and served it faithfully during its worst excesses with never a word of criticism.

TheCunningStunt · 14/06/2012 21:30

Posh twat, middle class twat, poor twat. A twat is a twat. And DC is most definitely a twat.

TheMysteryCat · 14/06/2012 21:35

i should add that I think you could possibly only slide a sheet of paper between blair and cameron's ways of gaining and keeping power.

they are both power hungry, power happy, distanced and dangerous.

glenthebattleostrich · 14/06/2012 21:39

I find it easier to name those in the cabinet and shadow cabinet who are not twats. Not that I can think of any off the top of my head.

Levantine · 14/06/2012 21:41

themysterycat I love a snoop on the Telegraph website these days - I get a real frisson of excitement whenever I see them criticising Cameron

TartyMcFarty · 14/06/2012 21:42

You would think that before his appearance today he might have checked approximately how frequently he'd been in touch with Rebekha Brookes, and whether he'd asked about Andy Coulson's credentials.

drjohnsonscat · 14/06/2012 21:45

Ed M is not a twat. I can say that for definite because I worked for him for years (civil servant). That's not a political point - he is actually someone you would all like and find a sympathetic personality. Not saying he's the right leader or the next pm but he's not a twat. He's very genuine and truly interested in equality and justice. And in the interests of party political balance, I didn't think Baronness Warsi was a twat although she has had a little local difficulty over her expenses.

Rosebud05 · 14/06/2012 22:21

I'm really, really not sure that I would like Ed Milliband.

perceptionreality · 14/06/2012 22:24

I've seen a few people on here who know Ed M personally and say how decent he is. What a shame that he's not publicly popular :(

DC is indeed a twat. He seems a bit intellectually challenged if you ask me....

GetOrfMoiiLand · 14/06/2012 22:38

I like you drjohnsons cat - esp. your post about Cameron looking at the tory party in the height of their vileness and thinking 'yep, that's the party for me'.

I can't stand the PM, osborne, hunt, Gove in all their oleaginous ineptitude. I agree that they are all too young. I would ratjer have someone with a bit more clout and humility. Where would we find someone like that though.
