Of couse William and harry are above Andrew and Anne as the line for the throne is Charles, then William, then harry then andrew ect

Hulababy · 03/06/2012 18:39

In terms of line to throne - yes, William and Harry are ahead of Anne, Andrew and Edward.

WifiNappies · 03/06/2012 18:40

I haven't read all the comments but my most prevalent thoughts are:

  • show the historic boats ffs
  • John barrowman JUST STOP BEING ON TV!
  • what the hell had that guy painted on that door??
Mrsjay · 03/06/2012 18:42

I loved the singers they were soaked but didnt care , I laughed at flip when he was head bopping Grin

breadandbutterfly · 03/06/2012 18:57

What was with that door painting?

Imnotbatman · 03/06/2012 18:57

I have a question

If william never had any kids (unlikely as they would use IVF) and

If harry (got married, lets be traditional) and had a son ....would his son be next in line to the throne or would Harry be?

In theory, Anne should curtsey to Kate.

Never gonna happen

Grin
Nanny0gg · 03/06/2012 20:43

And yes, the coverage was dire.

Where are the Dimblebys when you need them?

noblegiraffe · 03/06/2012 20:48

Anne should only curtsey to Kate if William is present. If he's not present she drops down the pecking order.

coffeeinbed · 03/06/2012 20:53

Those singers did a great job though.
(watching the highlights on Sky)

BsshBossh · 03/06/2012 20:53

I normally only watch the BBC for news but for this I switched to Sky News who focussed on the boats! The BBC kept breaking off to chat and babble and was completely annoying!

Nanny0gg · 03/06/2012 21:00

noblegiraffe
True.
But whether he's there or not, can you see it happening?

Whatmeworry · 03/06/2012 21:06

That was toe curlingly sycophantic simpering by the Beeb. Off with their heads!

bronze · 03/06/2012 21:21

The pecking order thing is why the queen refused to make Catherine a princess because it would mean Anne etc would have to be deferential to her

Seventh If I had your typing stamina, I'd say the same thing. Well put!

onetoomanytoo · 03/06/2012 23:16

and ITV managed to mess up " all the queen's horses"

the format was goodish, but i didn't want to see endless shots of il divo, susan boyle, et al, i wanted to see the horses,
so many times we had a quick glance of a horse then back to the dancers, or the singers, or arty farty shots of horses hooves,

am so disapointed.

And they keep doing it.
They had two of the singers on this morning - the best Naga could manage was "you looked like a drowned rat".
Smug cow. She should only get to say it if she were equally as wet yesterday.
Smug cow.
(sorry, did I say this already?)

Sparklingbunting · 04/06/2012 10:12

It's in the DM, how crap the coverage was. Grin
