I really do understand why there is a 'flouncers corner' on this site and I understand why people feel the need to go to it!
Six months ago I joined this site and on my first ever thread there was about 10 people who all clearly knew eachother and started their own conversation and completely ignored me! I felt really unwelcome but just thought it was a one off. Ever since then I've begun to realise that its like school on here and theres the 'popular' group who seem to think that everyone should know who they are and so they just hijack everyone elses thread and talk amongst themselves ignoring other people in the process! I was even in a thread yesterday and there was a discussion and one of the popular ones said something along the lines of ' oh its jack, havent seen you for a while, hows your dad?'
To me that was rude and if you know eachother that well then shouldn't you be emailing or private messaging instead of being so rude? I can honestly say I have said something regarding to what the OP was asking and been completely ignored by what send like the usual lot talking about scones or something Hmm
Another thing which I hate is all the private jokes flying around which is between the usual lot and no one else. Fanjo??? Grow up!
The only time people seem to get noticed is when they have changed their name to something like one of the popular peoples names! Remember the whole 'whos impersonating sue's thing yesterday??? seems like thats all people cared about as yiu are sooo popular so

OracleInACoracleocus · 24/05/2012 10:34

TooManyOddSocks · 24/05/2012 10:36

my2 I can do that too Grin I can do it with my index, middle and ring finger. But not my little finger. It freaks people out. I can't click my fingers though.

my2centsis · 24/05/2012 10:38

Toomany they are the exact fingers I can do it with!

LtEveDallas · 24/05/2012 10:38

I can wiggle my ears, nose and eyes - and all at the same time (although it makes me feel a little sick)

The last time I tried to do the splits I was drunk, very drunk, at a Mess function and managed to tear my hamstring . I was off work for a week, off PT for 6 and my med notes still state "Drunken Mess Gymnastics"

I can't do the whistle thing with my fingers in my mouth. But I can almost play a tune by curling my tongue and blowing softly through it.

Hullygully · 24/05/2012 10:42

You are like the Exorcist gel, Oracle

Hullygully · 24/05/2012 10:43

I was the same when I found out too.

I still don't think I've recovered.

LtEveDallas · 24/05/2012 12:03

No Hully, I work for a living... Grin.

I'm a Warrant Officer - which is the highest of the non-commissioned ranks. Means I get to shout at people - but still get shouted at myself! I think it's the best place to be Smile

altercation over space allocation on the dance floor

Unfortunately LeQueen it was worse than that. I decided to do a cartwheel off the back of a Chesterfield sofa and land in the splits (did I mention how drunk I was?). That was something I could do before...like 20 years before...for whatever reason I forgot I was no longer 12.

Anniegetyourgun · 24/05/2012 12:04

Good people, fear not, for I have arrived.

From my vast experience in these matters I am able to pronounce that Tethers' new offspring is The Right Sort Of Baby. Am also mighty impressed by the standard of fluffy family members around here.

Don't get too upset about the Mary thing, she didn't exactly say she isn't called Mary, just that she's not called Maryz. It would be a little wierd if she were, to be fair.
