Queenie is coming to our town tomorrow, DD was one of the lucky 35 to be drawn out of a bag to go to see her.
I've just had a text from the school advising winter uniform is to be worn. I only put her old one in the recycling bag two days ago.
Very cross.

has anyone else noticed how newsreaders always have a big fake smile when they are reading a news item about someone in the royal family? its enough to make you puke

and it doesn't matter what channel, they're all the same, you know when they are about to mention the royals because they suddenly get a big smile on their faces

My DH works for a well know baked bean manufacturer who celebrated 50 years a couple of years ago.

The whole factory (VV huge) was repainted & lots of flower tubs etc brought in for the occasion.

I spent a very happy ten minutes speaking to a man who works at that factory offday.
He was very proud that they are the biggest consumers of tomatoes in the country, although he did warn me off the Oxtail soup. I would not eat it if you paid me, but he was adamant it wasn't the same since they changed the recipe.

Get her some cheap uniform from Tesco, Asda or Sainsbury & borrow school jumper of someone that has a spare.
Not only would it be nice to be dressed the same as her peers for the queen it is also still quite chilly at the moment.
The weather is hardly of the summer variety hence the reason why the school has maybe asked for winter attire to be worn

DD was overwhelmed by her TBH. Apparently she is beautiful and gracious.
She was pretty miffed that the local news (BBC and ITV) only showed her at the zoo and in Liverpool.
