This morning, my son - the 15 year old

........ who cannot get out of bed.
........who misses two school buses a week because he gets out of bed at 0750 (bus leaves at 0800).
........who sits on the sofa and stuffs food wrappers down the side rather than walk across the room to the bin.
.........who goes to put something in the dishwasher, but when he sees it is full of clean stuff having just finished its cycle, stacks plates and cups up on the worktop waiting for someone else to empty it.
.........who puts clean clothes in the laundry basket rather than fold them up and put them away.

was downstairs in the kitchen today, dressed in school uniform, at 0730, emptying the dishwasher with a cup of tea made for me on the table.....
ConfusedShockConfusedShockConfusedShockConfusedShock

Is he on drugs?

Is there a major unreasonable request coming up, requiring girding of the loins......

Help!

Oooh... it might be that one where the children hide a slightly famous person under their bed for three days.

Martin Clunes could be under there right now!

NovackNGood · 01/05/2012 19:54

Have the police been around yet?

Rhinosaurus · 01/05/2012 19:57

I can't cope with that! I don't want the nation to see me in my pjs at 6pm, contacts out, glasses on, tutting at OH as he asks yet another inane ITunes question........

Novack, no they haven't but they usually phone first!

Rhinosaurus · 01/05/2012 20:19

Hmm think he is really overdoing it now.....

Analysis of behaviour -

Being organised and polite = Showing responsibility in preparation for his new role as a father.

Seeking work = Earning money for baby stuff.

Tidying room = Making room ready for a baby to stay in there.

Seriously, I hope your dog is okay.

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 01/05/2012 20:43

Wonder how much longer he can keep this up he'll keep you in suspense for!

stealthsquiggle · 01/05/2012 20:45

Does he know that you are a MNer?

it's OK, TeenRhino, you have now thoroughly wound up your mother and her random bunch of nosy strangers on the internet friends. You can tell her now, and we can all go back to pretending to have lives.....please?

JaxTellerIsMyFriend · 01/05/2012 20:48

hahaha - it could be that Kevin has made an abrupt retreat. In my DS he appeared overnight... so in the realm of possibility that he may disappear overnight... hope so.

Otherwise you are going to be a grandma.

Mama1980 · 01/05/2012 20:51

Only just found this thread and marking my place.......the suspense.......

jaquelinehyde · 01/05/2012 20:52

This will either go on for days until he builds up the courage to ask for whatever it is he wants or tell you about a huge mistake he has made.

or

The stress of being 'grown up' will soon take its tole and he will end up in a huge teenage flounce/strop and you will breath a huge sigh of relief and just laugh.

Please whichever it is print this thread out and show it to him in 10 years time. he will love it.

McHappyPants2012 · 01/05/2012 20:53

is he in the last year of school and getting nervous about exams

Moln · 01/05/2012 20:54

iI think that he has just decided to start helping out more and show you more respect.

ImperialBlether · 01/05/2012 20:54

He's wanting something. Bide your time, keep your purse tightly shut and don't answer the phone to the mums of neighbourhood girls with late periods.

grobagsforever · 01/05/2012 20:55

Marks place...

caramelwaffle · 01/05/2012 20:56

Moln · 01/05/2012 20:58

Disturbing

i shall pretend that's because I am very young

coffeeinbed · 01/05/2012 21:11
