Your servers keep going offline

Therefore you need new servers

New servers are expensive

Therefore you can't just waltz into Waitrose and get some new ones imagine finding that shopping list

Adverts pull in revenue

There are half a million or so Mn'ers ignoring the irritating flashy things down the side of the forum

AIBU to suggest we all click lots of adverts so MNHQ can get more money and buy a new server?

b3ta have a fundraising thing where you get an icon next to your name if you donate - doesn't matter what size the donation is either. they update the icons every now and then, so you can change icons by donating again. there is no judgement on people who do not have icons either.

I think a MN icon of a fruit shoot, or a pom bear, or a knitted quilt square, next to the user name, very discreetly, could be a good reward for donation, if folk could afford to!

We should be able to buy stakes in a new server in retrn for stuff.
example:

I am willing to pay for mumsnets new servers but my demands must first be met:

1: when i post in AIBU everyone agrees with my point of view

2:- this gets renamed to a mooncup emote and we get a new wine one

3:pus emotion will also be made

And I HATE using any site with flashing ads so I use adblock. Google text ads please! I might actually keep those visible and/or maybe even click on them now and then :)

I used adblock long before that FB thing was there so I am not sure what the connection is.

However, I use MN Mobile much more than I use MN Desktop so they get my ad revenue from that, so I don't feel bad about adblock on my PC. Well, maybe a little.

those of you who are losing your posts, you just have to back a page on your laptop, then your post will be as it was before you pressed post. then open up a new tab and keep checking MN until it comes back, at which point you can return to your first tab and post.

Oh yes indeed they are.
I also frequent a site for Old Gimmers, which has shocking service and I always held up MN as far superior.
