To ask you experienced NM's if....

someone being discussed in the OP has ever appeared to defend themselves?

I just always wonder with all the mil/bil/sil etc posts that someone must see a post a think "hang on a minute, that's me!"

Less often than you'd expect. Have been here seen 2006 and only seen it myself twice. Which considering the amount of threads I must have looked at in that time is sod all, really.

In fairness, if I identified me as the person being slagged off, I wouldn't say a word. I wouldn't have the guts. That must happen a fair bit.

I recognised someone talking about a friend of mine once.
I did challenge them, but not sure they believed that I really knew the person they were talking about

didn't tell the person though, as she would have been really upset

I have been the subject of an AIBU thread, I didn't say anything to the OP on here as the RL repercussions would be too unpleasant.

An awful lot of the really regular posters must be very obviously identifiable to friends/relatives/other mums from school.

sorry, i can't tell you any more details about specific occassions when it has happened. I just recall a couple of times when it did happen but honestly can't even remember what the threads were about,

Purple I had pics of myself and ds up once.
