Putting it here because you will all see it.
MNHQ can move it later if they want.

I have only gone and signed up for this
www.teenagecancertrust.org/get-involved/as-a-fundraiser/treks-and-challenges/bupa-10000/

If you all know I will have to do it.

Bloody nora.
I only made it to week 2 of that couch to 5k challenge Blush

Make me do it.
Shame me into training and stuff.
If the nest of vipers that is MN cant make me, nothing can.

I cant give blood this year because of bloody stupid frickin anemia (Im not now but you have to wait a year) so I thought I should do something.

I am now officially scared.

Right MrsDV.

I was with you at the start of the c25k thread. I just completed it this evening. I weigh 19 stone an awful lot. If I can do it, you most definitely can.

I'll sponsor you too. And bloody well done for signing up!

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 18/03/2012 20:47

oooooeeeer.

Just downloaded an app to OH's ipod.

I am just finishing off the huge bar of chocolate I got for mother's day. Sort of a last meal thingy.

Well done debka ! brilliant. I got flu and then the snow scuppered my c25k and then I was too lazy to resart.

So I am punishing myself with a 10k instead.

hathorinareddress · 18/03/2012 20:59

Done.

And I know you will do it.

The power of MN is behind you now!!

MissBetsyTrotwood · 18/03/2012 21:34

Bumping you.

Cherriesarelovely · 18/03/2012 23:09

Excellent! I look forward to sponsoring you.

Really well done for putting yourself forward for a challenge like this and making it so public, you are absolutely right, it makes it impossible to back out!

wherearemysocks · 18/03/2012 23:16

Mrs DV and coco I'm doing that race too. I've done it for the last 4 yrs. Its a really good race, nice route and lots of supporters which always helps when you are flagging a bit.

I'll see you at the start line Grin

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 19/03/2012 10:24

Hurrah! We have a MN posse going on.
I briskly walked to nursery today.
I am planning a run before I pick DC4 up.

I also drank my orange juice

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 19/03/2012 12:49

Ahem - just went and did day 1 of couch to 10k.

Nearly threw OH's ipod in the sodding bushes and the dog now hates me.

Apart from that it went well.

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 19/03/2012 15:51

In less than 24 hours I have raised over the minimum sponsership I need.

That is largly due to MN members.

Thank you.

It is amazing. Thank you so much. It means such a lot.

Don't forget to re-post the link at the end of the month MrsDV - I bet you will get lots more sponsors when pay day rolls around for people

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 19/03/2012 16:12

Good idea catgirl.

People can text donate now as well although I might leave that till the last week and do a twitter thing. I feel a bit cheeky but you can set it at £1 so people who dont know me might be tempted.

OP posts:
Pascha · 20/03/2012 09:05

I'm really pleased to see this Smile. My brother had ALL aged 19 and my sister AML aged 10 so I'm glad to support anyone doing anything for this. I will donate when I have spare cash at the end of the month as Catgirl mentioned, meanwhile this thread is on my watch list.

Good luck.

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 20/03/2012 15:33

Pascha how on earth did you all cope Sad. To deal with it once is indescribable but twice...

I met a couple of families with siblings who had developed cancers and it was something that worried me at the time as DS1 is two years younger than his sister.

Thanks for your support Smile

Just bumping. Grin

Still in training and went for a lovely run today.

Poor dog got all hot so I gave him a hair cut this afternoon.

He will be a mere husk by the time I do this race.

He is a bit fat so it wont do him any harm to lose a bit of weight Smile

I have over £300 in sponsership so far Grin

MissBetsyTrotwood · 23/03/2012 21:04

Grin @ rather fat dog.

wherearemysocks · 23/03/2012 21:06

Well done on the training. Me and my 2dd's are doing the sport relief Mile on the Mall on Sunday, so that will be my training this week. I usually do better but have strained my foot a bit so am trying to take it easy.

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 23/03/2012 21:21

whereare I am all girl crushy that you have done the race a few times already.

I have to keep reminding myself that its NOT 10miles its 10k and that is not as far.

Good luck with the Sports relief run and be careful of that foot!

BalloonTwister · 23/03/2012 23:36
