Putting it here because you will all see it.
MNHQ can move it later if they want.

I have only gone and signed up for this
www.teenagecancertrust.org/get-involved/as-a-fundraiser/treks-and-challenges/bupa-10000/

If you all know I will have to do it.

Bloody nora.
I only made it to week 2 of that couch to 5k challenge Blush

Make me do it.
Shame me into training and stuff.
If the nest of vipers that is MN cant make me, nothing can.

I cant give blood this year because of bloody stupid frickin anemia (Im not now but you have to wait a year) so I thought I should do something.

I am now officially scared.

Ahem!

I have taken the decision to switch my race to a London 10k on 8th July. The weather has been so crappy its been hard to run in my favoured spot. Its been like a bog for weeks.

I hope no one who has been kind enough to sponser me minds. Its pretty much all the same, it just gives me a few extra weeks to get on top of training.

I have squared it all with Teenage Cancer Trust and they are fine with it. I still have the same just giving page but I dont think I can change the event. I will put an update on it though.

I hope this is ok. I really want to run rather than hobble and the extra time makes me feel a bit less stressed generally

(it is also two days before my birthday so I can guilt more people into sponsering me Wink)

I'm doing the 10k on the 8th!!

I'm crap, fat, and my training has gone appallingly but I'm determined to do it in about 1hr10 20 30 ish

Perhaps we could meet up and push each other along a bit?

wonders if MrsDV is backing away very slowly whilst trying to avoid eye contact

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 08/06/2012 19:42

Ooooooooo just seen this Birnham. Sorry for ignoring you!
How's it going?
I just came on to say I ran for a whole HOUR today. I managed 7k in that time and it was ona machine but still........

Well done! I think, mentally, once you crack that hour it gets easier (from what I remember from training for it 2 years ago)

Training this year is terrible tho, what with illness, holidays, finding free time etc. I'm currently hunched over with a back spasm, which is fun Hmm

I'm off for a run in the morning and gng to try and crack 7k, wish me luck!

AlbertoFrog · 08/06/2012 22:42

Don't mind in the slightest MrsDV.

Wishing you and Birnam strength and endurance.

Best of luck.
