or perhaps Am I normal?

I was recently Irene Adler walking seductively through London, being all mysterious and red-of-nail. Last night as I poured my chardonnay I was Bridget Jones. I'm often the posh lady who very nearly gets the better of Poirot, but doesn't quite and has a "damn you" moment. In my youth I was rather obsessed with Quantum Leap - I regularly leapt into my own body to somehow save a life / a business / the world.

Externally, I'm just an accountant with a happy homelife. Internally, I'm anything I bloody like.

Normal? Come on, I can take it. I've been a Russian spy with homicidal tendancies. In Asda.

but I have...in my mind Grin

I sense a thread-end.

In my head of course it has an incredibly dramatic and climactic end, but actually its just fizzled.

Well I would just like to say to all you lovely nutters, its been...well...therapy, clearly, for most of us. You are not alone, the freaks walk amongst us.

Mainly as Elizabeth Bennett.

cue music

GreenEyes blows kiss at thread and drives off into rain, battle weary yet triumphant and hopeful for the future

threeineachlobe · 12/02/2012 20:18

:o GreenEyes. That was beautiful. I hear sombre yet equally uplifting music as you glide away...

Phew!

Tomorrow is another day!

looks wistfully into the sunset, with a knowing look in her eyes and a single tear running down her cheek

before they come for me

NorthernWreck · 12/02/2012 20:49

Cover me!

Lueji · 12/02/2012 20:56

I don't do characters, but often "talk or look to the camera".

After this thread, I might add story plots too.

threeineachlobe · 12/02/2012 21:21

Am welling up. Seriously(ish). I can't let this end. It's just too beautiful to die.

Not shameless bumping, obv.

but, it's nearly my bedtime and I have to pick up where I left off with Johnny - we're attending the BAFTA's, Vanessa is being a cow and won't go so Johnny's decided to take me along and I'll be photographed on his arm (for all the world to see)

I think this is the night he leaves her for me!!!

(in any other scenario, not into affairs - but this is Johnny Depp and is therefore allowed!)

QuickLookBusy · 12/02/2012 21:52

You'll have a fight on your hands there Brian..

Johnny has been having an affair with ME for 9 years.

iceandsliceplease · 12/02/2012 22:03

Oh my fucking good god! I do it too, and would never, ever have admitted it to anyone in real life!
I adopt poses for cinematic stills when I'm having a cigarette, hanging up the washing, sitting at my computer arsing about on mumsnet... I even think to myself how sad it is that DP isn't an ace photographer, and that the world is missing out on all the excellent pictures of me.

Are we all Walter Mitty types? Seriously?

.

threeineachlobe · 12/02/2012 22:20

I like to think that Johnny does to Grin

And Vanessa actually, although fuck knows where she goes to improve on reality. Sorry Benedict, not even you would do there. Or even Harry Styles.

Please excuse - "too" not "to". Wild fantasies are no excuse for tardy spelling. Tsk.

I am so pleased I'm not the only one - I really thought I was!

icapturethecastle · 12/02/2012 22:47

I often pretend that I am on Come Dine With Me when I am cooking dinner.

bringbacksideburns · 12/02/2012 22:52

In do this all the time. I also pretend i'm in a music video when i listen to my MP3 walking down the street.

At present i am imagining i am watching TV and recieving a BAFTA for best actress or Screenwriter and have my little speech ready Blush

threeineachlobe · 12/02/2012 22:55

Ooh Harry Styles. Sorry, I'm off again. :)
